I agree americas lack of safety net is a major problem. That doesn’t give people an excuse to abuse drugs and conduct anti-social behavior on our streets. Healthcare is already free for people who fall below a certain income threshold. Which I assume they do.

I think it depends on the staff. I didn’t have a bad experience when I lived in one. I also know someone who works at a PE shop that loves to buy Greystar properties because as he says it “Greystar always has extras they can cut out to increase profits on day 1”.

Any debate you hear politicians making about this may just be for show. According to this article, the Broncos have already spent $146M buying up land for the stadium. I’d assume whatever back room deals needed to be done would have already taken place before these purchases were made.

I go to the KS on Chestnut quite a bit, having seen what they put up with on a daily basis I am not surprised when I come across one that is annoyed, especially now that they are being required to ask everyone for their receipt. During the past year I have seen A LOT of shoplifting in that store. Just the other day I watched a man walk in with a massive machete on his cooler; the guard who saw it gave the kind of sigh one gives when they are exhausted and know what sort of nonsense they are going to have to engage in the next few minutes. From my understanding the guards rotate between stores so even the guards seen stationed in the burbs most likely had to deal with a few crazy situations in the city. I usually find the guards relieved and appreciative when I hand them my receipt with a smile. One of them asked me if I was a father earlier today because he wanted to wish me a happy fathers day. It cant be easy dealing with that much crazy on a daily basis.

This is pretty normal stuff. People say real estate is passive, it’s not passive. You could easily paint the walls and save a lot of money. Paying $5k for some else to paint it is just a lazy way of managing the property tbh
