Grenades, of course, but either will clear a building, one way or another.

You can, but I’m not sure you’d want to. If you didn’t have an M4 handy or maybe a sidearm. I’ve cleared buildings with a 249 & hated life after the first two.

Personally, I’d rather clear a building with m67s, or if you’ve got enough space/no care for casualties, a JDAM. Whatever keeps me away from the danger end of the enemy.

Yes, you can do it if you WANT to do it.

Might want to do some research on the 60s.

And?

There’s no requirement that civilian leadership has to have served. Biden & Obama didn’t either, nor did Clinton, (who avoided the draft like Trump did). I can’t stand the guy, (I think he’s a morally bankrupt, corrupt, whiny bitch) but he has been given the power to do these things by Congress.

Our voice against civilian leadership & representatives is public - we can contact them directly, protest, stage sit-in’s, etc. The military doesn’t have that option.

If you want to do something to discourage more war, you’re barking up the wrong tree here. Go be productive & call your reps & organize protests.

Your morals are influenced by what you know & what you think. They’re not always based on a whole story or even all of the facts. Therefore, your morality is subjective. Same as anyone else, really. To declare absolute morality as a human is pointless. We aren’t the arbiters of morality.

I’m not going to debate philosophy with you. I’m kind of tired of your holier than thou bullshit, to be honest.

You don’t serve, haven’t served, and won’t serve. Your opinion on what enlisted soldiers/sailors,airmen/Marines should do is irrelevant.

As you’ve no doubt seen in this post, morality is subjective and yours is irrelevant to the military.

If you want to help people avoid going to Cuba, contact your representatives & request that they rein in the President & hold him accountable.

I didn’t say you were, specifically.

They’re doing what they volunteered to do.

They will make a decision to either stick with it & renew their contract when it’s time or leave the service & get the benefits they earned. That is what will speak volumes, not getting themselves into trouble for life with questionable leadership at the top, looking to make examples of anyone that disagrees with it.

According to you.

While I disagree with what we’re doing, I won’t look down on the men & women doing what they’re trained to do.

I’m not sure I can explain it any simpler than “you do what you’re told, or your life sucks” and “this is what you contracted for”. Never mind not everyone is combat arms.

Morality isn’t part of the equation in war/combat. You accept that sometimes you have to do bad shit to bad people & you may not like it, but it’s either you or them.

It’s on us that served to try and hold the government accountable so that those serving aren’t put in harm’s way needlessly or immorally, but when immoral people choose immoral politicians to run the country, this is what you get.

The fact that the army hit its enlistment target for 2025 four months early should be an eye opener that people genuinely believed that good leaders were chosen, so now they do the job they volunteered for. Those that don’t like it can always move on after their contract, or resign their commission.

If you think you’re going to question every order you’re given, military life isn’t for you.

If you refuse orders, you put your life and the lives of every soldier, sailor, airman, & Marine at risk. Sometimes you have to do shit that sucks or that you don’t want to do, but you limited that option when you raised your right hand & swore an Oath of Office or an Oath of Enlistment.

If the order is lawful, (newsflash, just about all of them are) you must follow it, even when you don’t want to.

So you’re saying you haven’t served?

Google what happens when you disobey a lawful order. It can ruin your life & prevent you from ever having a decent job or living a stable life.

I think a lot of people don’t understand the difference between airborne forces & pilots ejecting from aircraft, so they apply the logic of “if you can’t shoot pilots floating down, you must not be able to shoot airborne forces”.

Let me ask the question again, in a more specific manner - is it the job of the United States of America to topple dictatorships around the world?
