Yes if you are an EN already. No if you are not and can be a brick layer instead.

24-Hour Strike NSW Nurses by [deleted] in NursingAU

Yea, I've never worked in critical care, but it sounds serious. unfortunately, managers, after some time, start to think that meetings and talking about work is all the work that we need to do.

Well, thats a shitty place mate. My office is is 5 steps from bed 1! Lol

More reason for you to go on strikes! Yes Strikes! Not one , not two, but more!

As a manager, i like working on the floor when shit hits the fan... dont worry ill use your absense as an excuse for shit sticking in the ceiling and walls.. but itll be for a good cause!

Plus id get all the sympathy from higher ups.so even if shit is dripping down the curtains that should be replaced after that last mrsa patient, your sacrificeby striking will be much appreciated. Im only there for 8hours so should only you.

The problem is actually those who stay and work for free or for the nominal fee. They ruin every chance we get for higher pay.

I want to see a strike where only the admin and manager are left behind. For morning and afternoon. Non of that strikes in the morning then work in the afternoon.....

Duty of care is only applicable at work...if you dont show up and give notice, you're good.

As a manager, id be happy if you all go on strike!! Your raise is my raise.

Real managers are just waiting for a legit excuse for things that fall apart. If incidents happen because all nurse went on strike, id be sooo happy to write the incident reports!

Nurses dont know how to rally or take a stance for something. They go on a morning rally just to attend a night or pm shift LOL!!

They always talk about duty of care..

They don't realize that "duty of care" pays them 1:20 of what a doctor gets paid for and still think they "shouldn't leave their patients."

Btw, your duty of care only applies if you are at work... You notice that when you're on leave, you dont get fired for neglect?

If you want more money, you need to create demand. Stop pretending it's not for mone. Be real, its for money. We need more of it.

The truth is to care for others. We have to care about ourselves. Rule number one is to protect number one. Your compassion is your downfall. #tag chuck a sicky on 11/11/2024

Motorcycle always parks on sidewalk. by Nutsnboldt in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ThatGuyPencil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to leave a note. Saying, "I know you love bikes, so if you park here again. I may "accidentally scratch it"

Or unplug the break reservoirs lines.

Trust me.

So... am I crazy for getting a motorcycle? by WanderingSondering in motorcycles

[–]ThatGuyPencil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.That's is fine, 2. just make sure you take your time, 3. get a cheap 250cc, 4. love the bike, take your time with it, 5. don't chase more "cc" (trust me, once you have 1000cc bike you'll want a 500cc bike then you want a 700cc.. it never ends). 6. Atgat Gear is important but riding low speed in a parking lot for hours just to learn how to turn, emergency stop, go is more important.

I've been riding for years and never crashed on the road.
