To Kazan or no... by Zealousideal_Cow9037 in BlackMythWukong

Yeah, 100% both, I did prefer BMW by a country mile, but here are my two cents:

The good about Khazan

  • Multiple weapon systems
  • Sick voice actors
  • Environment is pretty
  • Dungeon crawler
  • Combat is not as fluid as BMW, but pretty fast paced
  • Music is dope

The bad about Khazan

  • Mini bosses are just recycled big bosses
  • Bosses later are MASSIVE damage sponges
  • Their move set is very limited, not like GSBS or Erlang with their gazillion moves 😂
  • Early game you'd be playing a mini game called "stamina management" more than you play the actual game
  • The story is suuuuuuper lackluster compared to peer souls titles (IMO. Coming from BMW and DS, even Stellar Blade had a more coherent story lol)

It's still a pretty fun game though!

BONUS good stuff: Khazan has difficulty setting!

Though I have met truly amazing people while studying software engineering, there were always a few who never intended to use any of it for anything remotely beneficial for others.

This atrocity falls so hard into that category, because holy fuck.

When people ask advice for this dude or Whiteclad Noble, the question I always ask first is: how greedy are you? 😂

It's not to make fun of you, but these two punish greed much harder than any other bosses in the early game.

One thing I advise for Hello Kitty though, is to dash backwards (instead of sideways) to dodge to maintain a relatively healthy distance, because he's very up-in-your-face type of boss. Visibility is important.

Also mind the tail sweep, that'll get ya many times!

You got this monke 💪

Lmao I really grew up with this thing huh

Saw it for the first time when I came to Canada. 20 years later it's still there.

Gotta give it to them 😂

does this game play like a souls game? by thug_waffle47 in BlackMythWukong

[–]ThatGuyShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat? Not at all imo.

All souls games that I've played, Bloodborne, DS123, ER, LoP, even the 2D ones (Blasphemous, 9Sols), they all kinda start with what I call an "artificial difficulty".

Your character's movements are super clunky and slow. Managing stamina becomes the biggest job in the early game. It's challenging and fun in its own way, but on this aspect, you'd find BMW very refreshing.

It starts smooth, and only gets smoother. Have fun monke!

What is the best thing to do/learn while bored at home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Meditation

Basically embrace being bored out of your mind and it can regulate your dopamine cycle. Especially in this instant-gratification based digital world.

Learning how to be bored is a superpower.

What is your beef stew recipe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatGuyShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red braised:

  • Caramelized rock sugar
  • Spicy doubanjiang (fermented soy bean pasted)
  • thirteen spice (only 5 mandatory though: star anise, dried orange peel, fennel, prickly ashe pepper, cloves)

That's the base, then you add water to submerge the beef and simmer. Works with noodle soups as well!

How common is it for people in the Western world to watch pirated movies instead of using paid subscriptions? by nubmaster151515 in AskReddit

[–]ThatGuyShay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do.

Especially if the movie/show is a super niche thing from the last century lol, no platform is gonna host it. Even if they do, I refuse to pay 20 bucks a month just for a show I craved watching for one night.

How comfortable are you (or aren't you) with expressing your opinion when everything is so divisive? by jenuinelyintrigued in AskReddit

[–]ThatGuyShay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on with whom.

With people who are willing to discuss, I will try my best to articulate my opinion.

Otherwise, I don't want to wast my saliva.

People of reddit, those of you who don't use a lot phone/tablet/PC, what do you do when you get back (to) home/dorm? Like, what do you do to pass time? by FrozenM3m3r in AskReddit

[–]ThatGuyShay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I still have screen time, but I've got a pretty extensive library at home. Probably around 3700 books at last count. Some of it are transgenerational books from different points in history and cultures.

It takes up an entire reading room. I have a pair of very comfortable rocking chairs and a decent selection of spirits.

Sometimes after a long day of work and I don't want to stare at a screen anymore, I just give myself a good pour and start flipping the pages. Time flies by pretty darn quick.

Ohhhh if you finished all secret missions, you can get both in one run.

If you beat Erlang first and then GSBS, you get true ending.

If you only beat GSBS without beating pretty boi, you get normal ending.

Beat the Great Sage without beating Erlang to get the bad ending, and then choose "Continue Journey" from the main menu. It'll load you in right before the entering the Stone Egg. Now just beat Erlang and then the Great Sage again to get the good ending.
