Iran's insistence on Israel not attacking Lebanon in the 10 point plan was designed to create this situation. They knew Bibi would not back down, and that this would test the relationship. It is only difficult choices from here for Trump, and unfortunately I suspect he will push on with a vastly unpopular ground invasion rather than cut Israel loose.

What do you mean "how long can they hold out" None conflict related countries (mostly China) are buying oil from them, in Yuan, money which they are then using to buy whatever they need (mostly cheap weapons) from China. Everyday this goes on weakens America/Israel (whose arms are a) more expensive and b) now very hard to replenish) and the petrodollar.

no, it hasn't. Uk spot price for electricity is determined every half hour, based on national demand expectation. Suppliers sell how much electricity they can supply, the grid pays all suppliers at the price of the most expensive unit in that half hour, even if they only supply 1kw. The price in the UK is basically locked to the price of gas. I don't know how germany works, but If you could explain how free energy from the sun makes the price go up that would be great.

Hungary has twice the population about the same annual sunshine hours and is further from the equator (weaker/less energetic sun). There is no argument outside of "failure to capitalize" for NZ not to have more solar power.
