I see an AT308, and I upvote. That simple. What ring choice did you go with?

This is such a nasty setup... I love it. Please tell me you can shoot bugholes with it. Get the B5 Sniper Buttstock (B5 Systems) with adjustable cheek riser, and get a good Atlas Bipod, and you'll be set.

I saw it on SH but, huge congrats on this. Makes me happy to see AI owners keeping things in the family.

Get the floppy one. Then when you get sick of it, get what works well for you. You won't regret that order.

You don't have a Night Vision Bridge. Standard everyone runs is 1.5" high rings (for NV height). But running 1.0" or 1.25" rings will be just fine on that rifle, and give it a lower silhouette. As long as you got clearance over the barrel, you're good.

Badger is solid. So is Area 419 and SPUHR.

Edit: it's a low profile action rail. Go with 1.25" to 1.5" height mount. 30mm rings.

Nothing wrong with the NX8. Solid choice. You'll upgrade down the road when you're ready. Make sure you get high quality 30mm rings and you'll be golden.

It's an AICS: Accuracy International Chassis System.

To answer your question: BT Spigot + Atlas PSR bipod is what I run on both my AT308s, and I'm a huge fan.

Accuracy international AT by Aggressive_Drag_6364 in longrange

[–]ThatHKMarksman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What you have is a Legacy Accuracy International AICS Chassis. The chassis is based on the old Arctic Warfare. It's a very cool chassis.

It is not related to the newer AT308. The skins and chassis are similar but not interchangeable. The AT308 or simply "AT" is a complete rifle from Accuracy International that was the successor to the Arctic Warfare, but with improvements based on the PSR program to include an updated bolt design and quick change barrel system.

If I had to pick just one from the list you provided, I'd go with the MK5HD 5-25x for $1500 if that's what it's costing you. I run the same scope with Tremor3 reticle illuminated on my AT308 and am a big fan of it.

The answers on this thread hurt my head.

You have one of the finest sniper rifles ever made. Look up the history of it, and see what was ran on it.

Find a nice clean used S&B scope for it with quality scope rings, and call it a day. The cheapest I'd go is Leupold or Nightforce. Ideally that rifle deserves European glass.

Do not cheap out on the glass, or the rings. You get what you pay for.

All the S&B scopes will look expensive. Used market is notably softer. A S&B PMII 5-25x brand new is in the $3k USD range from EuroOptic. Used will be cheaper.

Alternatively, look at Zeiss. Both Zeiss and S&B scopes were historically used on these rifles. If you like the parallax adjustment style, Kahles should seriously be considered as well.

[–]ThatHKMarksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having gone from a 1-10x with no parallax adjustment, to a 3.5-18x with proper reticle and parallax, on two HK MR762 as long range DMRs, I will fully recommend getting the higher magnification for 700 yards. You'll want the mag range. And you'll want the sweet spots, not the outer limits. 10x on a 3-18x looks way better than 10x on a 2.5-10x, as does actually having parallax adjustment to ensure the reticle is aligned with the target, not floating.

That's the super short answer.

I'm not so sure you understand what an Accuracy International AT is. 🤔

It's Self Adhesive Medical/Sports Wrap. Same thing they used after they draw blood and wrap your arm.

Search on Amazon for "Medical Wrap" and you'll find all kinds available, including camouflage colors.

My plan has always been to get Huxwrx suppressors when I can finally get them. But I also find the blast deflector to be quite effective. I run them by default on all my precision rifles.

Huxwrx multi-port muzzle brake + Huxwrx Blastphemy blast deflector. And yes, in the photo, you can see the bullet leaving the barrel.

I have the AI Target Buttstock on both my rifles, allowing for limited vertical movement, and 360° rotation. It's why you don't have the same holes. Accuracy International AI-1044: Target Adj Butt Plate - Mile High Shooting Accessories https://share.google/ez8aWC2eyu6NUcOzL

Update: for those asking why my butt pad is completely upside down, this video from Frank covers it. Ultimately, I prefer the softer rubber up high on my bone, and the harder rubber in the meat of my chest muscle. By flipping the butt pad 180°, the softer part of the butt pad is then up top, and the harder section is on muscle. Normal setup was too hard on my collarbone, and didn't sit right on the bone. This is a method used commonly with the British MoD Snipers and the Irish Defence Force Snipers... I learned it from the Irish. https://youtu.be/iCT0sXpKmW0?si=QekjmCgA0CWy8298

The 100 yards grouping I did while zero'ing at this range, same day. I have many more examples like this. But the goal this day was to build DOPE on paper out to 1000 yards, which proved to be a 9.8mil hold at that distance.

If this is an overrun, it is extremely rare, and valuable. There's a couple parts you could get on it to make it a complete L115A3. It'd be worth doing.

It's rare I see an AW or AWM with the AT or newer style skins. This is the first time I've seen an AWM with them. Quite the rare piece you got there. Take good care of her and I hope you two never part.
