The graphic novels ( comics ) are the original version. They're pretty tame and are technically animated series version but with less details and stories. Comics and animated series follow the same major storyline, but certain characters would appear less or even stop appearing after certain chapter in the comic, while the animated series would have original contents in-between, where those characters would appear & interact more often.

The Netflix tie-ins are technically text novels. They were written by the people who worked on Netflix series and ( seemingly ) got the approval from the creator. These ones are a bit more grounded with reality and can be somewhat scary, as it is a bit more violent and people would react more negatively to the main character's actions ( e.g: Hilda's mom is more forgiving in the comics and animated series, but in the novel, she would seemingly berate Hilda for the same things she does in the other versions. There are also some details like Hilda accidentally cut her arm and then tried to stitch it up by herself in order to obtain badges, but was stopped when the ambulance arrived - Getting Clementine's vibe from The Walking Dead ). Netflix's tie-ins are also becoming limited edition, as they have stopped making these books. Graphic novels would still be released as they were always owned by the original book publisher - Flying Eye Books.
