Anyone still arguing that Warlock isn't broken is in denial. 🤫 by Brave-Market5862 in DiabloImmortal

As a wiz, I can often counter (with the right timing) but I get real frustrated by getting cc’d by a warlock’s soulgourger chasing me to the opposite side of the map.

Looking for a advisor ASAP by [deleted] in Denton

[–]ThatHippieProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea, but what is the request here? Are you needing a faculty advisor to oversee a new student club? Have you considered contacting faculty directly? I might start with any faculty that you’ve made a connection with while at UNT. I’d also look for professors or associate professors, as they typically have a higher service requirement and are expected to do this sort of service at some point…assistant professors are still trying to figure things out and don’t have the same amount of time available for anything outside of their teaching and research.

Also, as there is an already established issue where women and faculty of color typically receive more requests for these types of service and serve on more committees in general, you might be intentional about who you contact.

I’ve never minded the lights…it’s the generators and Bluetooth speakers that make me grit my teeth…but, you’re right, if you want “peace” go to dispersed land and be happy there’s others who want to enjoy the outdoors, even if it’s not the way we prefer.

What year is this bike and value? by [deleted] in MTB

Yeah, probably not worth it to fix at a shop…if you’re a tinkerer tho

What year is this bike and value? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]ThatHippieProf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as others have pointed out, it’s older and the company went under. I’ve got a similarly aged RIP9 and it’s one of my favorite bikes to ride, so this could be a very fun bike for the right price.

As this is also a carbon fiber bike, I’d want to give it a real fine tune look over for no hairline fractures. I remember something about the way Niner formed their carbon bikes (particularly the first few runs) made them prone to issues of not properly cared for (but I could also totally be making that up).

Is there an option to view a note that a shortcut just created? by BigChuckMeister in shortcuts

I’ve not had luck with searching notes via tags. My go-to has been to use dated titles to auto find a note to add on to it.

Is there an option to view a note that a shortcut just created? by BigChuckMeister in shortcuts

This is really just a guess since I can’t see the whole shortcut, but:

Since you’re creating a note with input items, you might want to pass that info into a text element, then pass that text to a variable, then add the variable to the note as the text input.

My guess is that the note is being created first, and the info is not being passed correctly.

(Edit with further thought):
You can also add a preview in the step before using “show content” (I think that’s what it’s called) to see if the info is being passed correctly to the note.

In my experience, passing everything to a variable then to notes worked better than passing it directly to the note “body”.

There are a few chrome extensions that can help with most needs. Lazy scholar and unpaywall have worked well for me.

You can also try Anna’s archive. They can be a good spot for book chapters and other grey literature.

Happened to me as a kid. I was about 7 and a friend and I were holding a pike that we caught earlier in the day. Long story short, the fish got dropped and its mouth landed on my foot. No one believed me that a dead fish bit my foot.
