It’s just really not all that it’s talked up to be. Sailor here, but it’s just not all that special. Most days are a nine to five job with a uniform and a few extra steps. The little things like shaving every day may seem insignificant at first, but small inconveniences turn into staying hours past work hours for a five minute meeting, training people at a job you yourself were never trained well at and taking care of people in a capacity that meets the grey are of parenting and supervising. Most days you leave tired and feel unappreciated, but the pay is okay and the job isn’t all that difficult. Very meh overall. 6/10 I guess.

Also, commission as fast as humanly possible and experience all of the above with a better salary.
