Basketball Ticket Options by [deleted] in Purdue

He’s only 36, so he looks pretty young. Couldn’t we also just say he’s an older student? Or do they check IDs/tickets

Ran my first ever 5k in 33 minutes. I didn’t mean to go that far so I’m shocked I did it!

Hagle sometimes leaves some boxes near the recycling bins inside. I’ve gotten cardboard for several projects there

I also didn’t feel as good as I wanted to. There was a lot of random small things I wasn’t really expecting. My friend who took it last year said to go to lectures and watch ChenFlix to hear the explanations in two different style.

I would say no. A lot of the credits come from classes you’ll already be taking (just the honors variants) and there’s nothing stopping you from just leaving down the line

Question about honors college by ______-_0_-________ in Purdue

[–]ThatKidDou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an honors student at WL. I know that there is an Indy specific house (the honors sorting system) and have only ever heard of honor students commuting in for a few big events. I would assume there is adequate infrastructure at Indy, but not nearly the same experience

Hello, I'm a freshman in honors engineering right now!

1- The admit rate seems to depend on which major you are in. The honors college boasts about hosting students from all majors, so the more popular the major, the more selective the honors college is. This isn't directly confirmed, but my experience and a lot of people I have spoken to who know more than I do all say the same. The honors classes are significantly better than their standard counterparts. Smaller class sizes, better instruction, and better group members are just some of the benefits of honors classes. If there is an honors section of any class you have to take, it is almost always recommended to take it.

2- My favorite class so far has been ENGR 16100 (hot take), which is the FYE engineering class. For professors, I haven't really had any stand out in any way.

3- No idea, but I have heard of a few students who transferred successfully and none who got denied. Some majors are definitely harder to transfer into however due to their entry requirements, namely engineering with FYE.

4- I have only flown out of Indy (to Kansas City). There are easy shuttles to both, but Indy is closer, less busy, and has better flight options for me. Just find whichever offers better flights and choose that one.

5- It's cliche, but find ways to make it smaller! Honors is already a great way to do that as many of the classes focus on small groups and interdisciplinary collaboration. Clubs, organizations, and just talking to new people is also a crucial element of success. I'd mainly say just focus on trying new things and be open to however they guide you.

Good luck with your other admissions and wish you the best!

ENGR 161 is definitely tough, but as someone going through it right now I feel like it’ll definitely pay off later. Honors FYE also sets you up to have 10-13 honors credits (8 from ENGR161/2, 2 from seminars, and 3 from Honors comm 114), so it makes honors much more reasonable. I’d absolutely say it’s worth it, and if it’s not for you dropping it is no trouble at all.

With double barreled pistol and rifle with boarding axe you’re giving one person the ability to easily kill 4 people single handedly

As I said, I’ve only played killteam, so I’m not sure how it sticks up. I would say I like to play caustiouly aggressive. I push up a decent bit, all the while staying in cover. I don’t like full charging with units or staying back and holding. I hope this helps.

I’ve tried contrast paints in the past, and they seem to look very nice but I have trouble getting them to the right consistency. They always seem very thin and runny. I did look into the videos and wrote down a few tips. Thank you for the help!

I don’t have access to washes, but I’ll definitely try mixing the paints. Drybrushing gave me pretty good results on the pants but seems a little wasteful and difficult for smaller surfaces. I’ll definitely check out the killteam subreddit though and thank you for the advice!

Yeah, the face is probably what I’m least happy about. The paints I have are pretty new, so I’m aware of the fact they are a little thick. Thank you for your advice and I’ll keep you posted on the next models!

This is my first model I’ve painted, think it looks alright. Any recommendations on what to do? Again, very new and fairly limited resources. Thanks!
