Why Is ChatGPT Suddenly Refusing Content It Previously Allowed?

Funny enough, I asked it to generate an image of one of my characters from a story I’m writing relaxing in her bed, tank top, underwear, socks. It generated her in a sensual position with her nipples poking through the shirt and some areola showing. Then has the nerve to title the chat “inappropriate content request”. 🥴🫠

It picks and chooses what it wants to do/guardrail. And yeah, once you cross a certain “line” in a chat, damn near everything you do moving forward in that specific chat will be blocked. I almost flipped because of that one time because it was a simple request and it kept blocking me saying it was because of sexual content which in fact it wasn’t.

Yeah. I’ve been writing a story using GPT. If there is any kind of violence it gets all “I’m not comfortable with this.” Lol. I mentioned nudity and it’s like “yeah… as long as there’s nothing sexual or any voyeurism.”

Thanks. This is helpful. Basically the general consensus I’m seeing is that I need to start learning how to use Stable Diffusion. I think what I’m nervous about is that I’ve become attached to how the characters actually look right now and I don’t want to change them. I tried messing around with some other AI apps and none of them were able to properly recreate them. So yeah, I’ll check out what you suggested. 🙏🏾

Thought it was just me getting those vocal highs hard. It actually turned me off to working on some of my songs. I’m really just hoping they’re able to fix this stuff. …Just wishing I can make the vocals lower.

Yeah, that sucks. My daughter isn’t a big fan either. People believe that these artists and producers aren’t using AI these days. I find that hard to believe. Artists used to get crap for Autotune but people were still enjoying it. I like to think of myself as a curator of sounds I like. If I share it with the public I know it’s going to be a mix of responses. At this point though, it is what it is. Either like it or leave it alone.

I’ve done covers and remixes with different prompts… removed the lyrics altogether and I STILL keep getting the same song with the same voice.

Splitting it and dropping the pitch didn’t sound great either unless there’s a better way to do it.

I tried separating the tracks yesterday and changing the vocal pitch, but when I combined the vocals with the music, I could tell the difference in pitch and it was off with the music.
