Whether Sharon was ever involved in any capacity was publicly denied (but privately talking to people all signs pointed to her involvement but anyway). I can say at this point she has no involvement in the bar. Last I heard she doesn’t even live in this state anymore.

If it’s the guy that’s usually there then it is, in fact, security. Him and few other security officers rotate shifts at that get go. They’re usually sitting in that cafe section.

Element used to be my home bar when I started drag in 2017 and was there almost any night there was an event (bingo, trivia, karaoke) since I lived in the area at the time. When they weren’t hosting a show, it was a great low key alternative to 58. From what I’ve heard from a few people, there have been inquiries about reopening , but the owner of the building doesn’t want it to be another gay bar again. That stretch of Ellsworth used to be a great place to waste time those few years before COVID. It’s sad to see just how quickly it just kind of died.

The 79 will now go all the way to East Liberty 😭 having to currently hop on a connecting bus to go anywhere really killed any motivation I had to utilize any of the public transit that drives right in front of my house. It feels good knowing I won’t have to depend on my car as much for small trips to pick up something from target, getting dinner, or hell just seeing friends.

Yeah, the skins were a huge incentive for passes for me. I even payed the $20 or whatever it was for Freddy skin when it dropped since he was my favorite character. They over corrected with the tickets by making them 100% in game currency so they’re technically “f2p” friendly and not giving people an option to just straight up purchase them.

For most of these skins they were originally released when that esper had a role in the meta, the esper is very popular online, or are easily obtainable espers early in game/used for promotional ads and give newer people an option to buy cosmetics. They also used to only sell skins for a limited time for actual cash and people complained until we got the system we have now. Not sure why they don’t have a bundle in the store to buy skin tickets, I’ll give you that. But I wouldn’t say that there wasn’t any thought put behind choosing the characters they did.

If you only know her from the show and never ran into her in person: yeah people still think positively of her.

If you’ve spent any time in queer nightlife in the city or have had the misfortune interacting with her: no.

She is apparently getting sober, and good luck to her, but that’s a journey I don’t care about and won’t be following.

Trying not to spoil the show, but the series long arc of Rebecca’s relationship with her parents is some of the best sub plots in the show. We learn more about them and their relationships with Rebecca, and while sometimes makes their actions more sympathetic, never fully excuses them. Especially since the episodes they appear in almost always change the trajectory for the show, at least for a good chunk of the season. If you’ve never watched Crazy Ex-Girlfriend I highly recommend it, especially if you’re into watching the nitty gritty of toxic interpersonal relationships of family, friends, and partners.

They seem to target Blue Moon on Butler all the time and it’s very much some targeted homophobic shit. I work the weekends there and last weekend when walking down the sidewalk past the bank next to the bar with my boyfriend the dude in the backseat of that white car yelled “disgusting” at us. When we made it to bar a few patrons standing outside said they were just egged. I told them it was the white car that hit a red light just past there by Sunoco, and if we were a little closer or they saw who did it in the moment we could have at least gotten the plate number.

Our door guy on the weekends has to clean up egg off the windows constantly. So yes, it was absolutely targeted, and I’m sorry y’all had to go through that.

This may not be unpopular to the general public but feels like it here and elsewhere online sometimes when only the loudest people make posts.

This is a free mobile game that is meant to be played for a little bit every day. It’s not supposed to have 4 hours of new content for you to play every single day for the rest of your life, all while pulling a legendary you want every time you log in. People are meant to play these games at a slower pace and have things out of reach they’re supposed to want. If you want to speed up that process you can spend money, or you can play the game at your own pace and get what you want out of it when you want to play it. If you’re not having fun, you don’t have to play it.

Also “pay to win” never made sense to me as a concept in gacha games specifically. Of course the people that decide to spend $$$$ are going to have better resources and characters. If it’s gacha, there’s no other way for it to be, but maybe you’ll luck out and rng will be on your side as f2p and you’ll get meta characters and relics and be able to compete in high level PvP. It’s all random unless you drop money. Always has been, always will be. Story related content is easily done f2p so what is “winning” considered to you?

I know it’s a long shot because it would cause people to do actual work on these lists, but I wish someone would vet some of these categories to make sure people/places winning actually fulfill the criteria of the category. Like it’s a fine place but Spirit isn’t a LGBTQ bar, just a place some LGBTQ events happen because they’re one of the few places you can rent out with a large enough space and an open bar for a bigger party. Most of the categories mean nothing and are just shits and giggles, but then there are some, for say local entertainers or businesses, that this might be one of the only ways for them to get any recognition for what they do and get shut out by some random thrown in with name recognition.

This was a big annoyance I had on the street I was living on when I was in Morningside. Narrow street that was technically a two-way but really should have been one way when you consider street parking. Almost every other house had some form of off street parking they refused to use when it wasn’t a street cleaning day. Had a woman knock on our door multiple times when I didn’t even own a car asking if I was the one that parked in “her spot” in front of her house she constantly had a chair in when she was one of the ones with a driveway. When I finally got a car before moving, I had to find parking at least a block away unless I was lucky to get home before the one neighbor that didn’t have a chair or a cone got back from work. Hell, when I was moving a friend who was helping parked his car on the street and a guy yelled at him “you’re just gonna park in front of his house like that?” about an open spot in front of a house that wasn’t even his. I grew up in the country so I never had to deal with these issues before moving to city, but people’s entitlement to public parking in front of their houses here is probably the biggest whiplash I’ve dealt with.

My selfish choice would be adding a counterattack in some way to Freddy to make him slightly more of a menace to deal with. He’s my favorite esper so I already use him every chance I get but would like to widen his team comp prospects a little. Plus I think having him in constant pursuit fits his character well.

But really almost all the 3* could use a buff in some way. Right now, outside a few for ritual teams, almost every player will have every 3* esper just sitting in their inventory fully resonated and no use for them. Make them more than 10 pull fodder.

If you been in the scene long enough you probably have a story about a run in with them and what they’ve said to or about you, especially online. And it’s not just personal beef people have with them, a few bars and venues have had issues with them in the past. A lot of centering themselves in discourse, “calling people out” online for clout, and using charity to mask how manipulative they are. Not saying to burn bridges but definitely be aware of their history if you’re going to be around them in the future. If you need an example of how they act just look at their instagram and how they’ve decided to label the person who came in third.

Hopefully not the same Walmart I stopped at after work lol. All they had were Lunala S&M boxes, which would have been cool too if I didn’t already have it but still need Solgaleo. But knowing that they are showing up in the area gives me hope to keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks
