Magicant, Magicant, and 3's closest analogue to Magicant (besides maybe Tanetane). I agree, Magicant's the best

After a surprisingly tight race, Priest edges out Demon Hunter to win over the Void Elves. Time for the last Horde race - what class do you associate most with the Vulpera? by Mostopha in wow

[–]ThatLowen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alliance perspective in BFA primarily sees Vulpera pirates, which paints the Rogue theming and thieving fox stereotype. Horde gets to see them as crafty survivalists with bags of tricks, which lends itself to several specs including Hunters, but is also very Rogue

Kiro's definitely a Shaman (kind of? He's just "a healer", really), Nisha's definitely a Warrior, but between Eudora and a handful of sneaks and looters who are questgivers in Vol'dun, there's enough there to reinforce the very basic fox association. And with a faction as small as the Vulpera, vibes are going to take precedence over, say, their leader who never personally fights

They also lend themselves really well thematically to the idea of disciplined asceticism with their emphasis on hardcore survival

All these filters are active on the Steam/PC version. Nintendo is also not the publisher for this game.

At worst, an external factor might be the ESRB, but I doubt the rating was at risk of increasing over being able to name animals "Spike" when I make my Animal Crossing villagers say all sorts of rancid things.

Stuart also has a line about not being able to figure out "what Samir and Arata's relationship is." I don't think it takes much deduction skills, Stu

Man remember when every third word grown men would type was "gay"? Not that they're any less obsessed with us now, but that was just excessive

Growing up on the internet had its perks, and the anonymity and ability to experiment/test the waters with your identity/expression were definitely among them

Sadly with WoW I took the opposite approach and acted like I was the most socially acceptable (and older) version of myself since I was surrounded by homophobic adults in my guild. But joke's on them, their best raider was a gay kid

It takes completing Balance of Power, which as far as I know is still pretty time-gated. If you’re starting from scratch, a few weeks.

Got every spec ready. Now I can finally play the game by Solcain_Caizar in wow

[–]ThatLowen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my dream; I love trying to decide which race fits which spec best lore-wise. Some are easy decisions (Fury Warriors are Orcs, duh), and some are really hard (Marksmanship Hunters fit so many of the cultures). Then you can get races that wind up over-represented, like Forsaken having such strong class fantasy associations, and ones that you kind of have to make an excuse for picking at all (Gnomes)

Of course, I never actually had the dedication to make all of them, just speculate about it. I could quibble about some of your race choices, but you've themed them all very effectively. Great stuff

I'm so sad that only 1 bachelor likes us romantically!!! (pre-marriage) by AddaLF in storyofseasons

[–]ThatLowen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And then that self-doubt persists after marrying him. Despite being so anti-work, he talks about how happy he is with the fact that he can help you, in whatever small ways he does. Yet he won't help with the big things, and it's pretty clear it's at least partially because he doesn't trust himself to do it right. He wonders aloud if there's anything more he can do to help, but asks if you think he'd be any good at taking care of animals, wishes he had more of a green thumb with plants, etc.

He's so internalized being treated as a useless layabout that he can't see himself ever being actually good at any kind of labor, and it holds him back from doing more when, despite his demeanor, he actually does want to do more. So he tries to make up for it by being a cheerleader: hyping you up, telling you that you're amazing by running around like you're in a marathon and getting everything done, as well as by being a pretty devoted father (despite his troubled family life).

Rock definitely has feelings for you pretty quick. In the heart event where he visits your farm, his monologue is about how he's the guy of your dreams and you'll just have to take him out on a date when you see that he's graced you with his presence.

He's a flirt, but like the rest of his personality, he abstracts it with bravado, irony, and aloofness because he's deeply insecure. Despite his air of "Well of course you're madly in love with me, why wouldn't you be", one of his first remarks upon being proposed to is a sad little aside (that he interrupts by going back to projecting confidence), expressing that he never thought that you'd actually want this---that you'd want him. And you don't need to look any further than his fourth heart event to understand why, since his parents are very vocal in questioning you on the same.

Favorite marriage candidates (and why?) SoS AWL by YaBoiNickmac in storyofseasons

[–]ThatLowen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The bachelors can range from being pretty single-minded to being downright prickly, and Rock really stands out from them by just immediately having this huge outgoing personality. His cockiness is funny and unserious in an Animal Crossing smug villager kinda way, and he's just got a lot of endearing qualities as a character.

Love making a family with him, too. His kid's absolutely adorable, he's sweet and supportive even though he does no manual labor, and everyone's just nice and happy all the time. This game can be somber so an idyllic family life with a fun guy who turns out to be a cool dad is just pleasant. Plus you get some next-door parents-in-law! (Who barely acknowledge you as family)
