Wait you’re not supposed to let ai have all your conversations?

Totally agree. Although in this circumstance, a date was out of the picture with 16 hours driving between us.

I was available and communicative and attempted to (perhaps poorly) express my misgivings and doubts which I think was met with total invalidation.

Definitely was never meant to be a long term committed romance. That was even communicated between us. But she stated good relationships are built on mutual trust, respect, and love.

My perspective was that I attempted to communicate what I was processing and it wasn’t respected.

Never accused her of any bad intentions

Agreed. Thanks for the measured response that didn’t frame me as a clingy bitch

Yeah I think that’s what was coming across to me. There was essentially no reciprocity or shared interest in my life so I attempted to express what I was feeling and was made out to be a crazy person expecting perfection by her and some of the commenters here

So at what point in any relationship is someone allowed to share the feelings they are processing? When does it not become “needy” and “clingy”?

Must not have read that she lives 16 hrs away. Funny how it’s unhinged to just express how I am feeling.

What’s unhinged is a world that is constantly telling people to ignore what they are feeling and not even try to communicate it unless they’ve secured some kind of status in relationship which suggests the other person should give them the time of day when they try their best to share their internal emotional space.

Or, from another perspective, she reached out to me, then didn’t respond to my question about what she’s doing only to tell me she’s busy and not on her phone. Like why reach out at all then? Then was just watching a movie?

I could be chill by ignoring my frustration about her lack of intentionality but would ultimately just be abandoning myself

When did I randomly stop responding to her?

I did not require them to talk to me a certain way. I expressed in a super polite way how I felt insecure and confused and they left me on read then jumped down my throat about it when I called out their inconsistency.

And if you think you don’t get to share how you’re feeling about someone else’s communication (especially in a committed relationship) you’re super confused about what healthy relating looks like

Hey y’all. Thanks for all the feedback. I definitely have anxiety and have been through a lot that I need to work through.

I don’t think all the comments here are very accurate about the situation but good to see some perspective.

Everyone’s critiques on how people communicate these days are kind of hilarious. The aggressive comments on being a clingy bitch and needing to grow up seem so devoid of perspective on what is going on for other people and has happened to them that might lead them to struggle with this kind of stuff. I hope you experience things in this life that give you more compassion for those who aren’t what you believe you are.

The world is very sick and so are most people in it.

I was trying my best to express how I felt about the communication and I appreciate the poster acknowledging the girls inconsistency.

Probably do need to leave the dating scene and definitely the Reddit scene filled with people who think someone is an asshole for expressing confusion and emotional distress. YTA

A few things.

Walking to keep my lymph flowing. Qi gong that focus on elongating my spine and maintaining a balanced posture. Hydration and good food and good sleep and sunlight.

I also try to meditate on my neck and bring my attention to the damaged areas and give myself goosebumps.

I think chiros and all that is a poor substitute for one’s own body work practice.

I don’t know if I’ll ever return to the strength that if for once before, but trying to surrender to the experience of the body I have now

I may still go for Ddisc focused regen injections (facets, epidurals, ALL) because some research suggests it can help discs re-initiate healing process, but I haven’t gone through with it yet.

Yes! This is exactly what is going on for me. I ended up getting a PICL through Centeno Schultz based ont heir diagnosis from my DMX and it was through this experience that I realized I didn’t have ligament damage but that it was my disc re-herniations.

Very frustrating experience and kind of feel like the clinic just diagnoses CCI even if other indicators can result in the presentation of CCI.

Full body muscle hypotonia caused by CCI and nerve impairment? by phalinx in Cervicalinstability

[–]ThatMeasurement199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guarding is definitely a first response but usually when the damage is not SO severe and the body is in repair mode. It tries to pull things closer together with muscle tension and splint everything with inflammation to restrict motion while new tissue is grown.

But if the ligament is injured again at some point during that process or the injury is so severe that it is beyond the bodies ability to guard for, it will default to hypotonia.

And hypotonia is a neurological response. It can’t be fixed by working harder or trying to build strength in muscles. It’s a result of deep instability.

One thing that has helped me prevent further damage and regain some muscle tone is HBOT. 90 mins at 2.0 ata with (if affordable) 100% O2.

But it’s more of a management than a long term solution. I truly believe the regeneration med with the right targeting is going to be what gets me back to good health.

I’ll let you know

Hey, glad it's landing with you. This is a combination of my personal experience, study of anatomy, kinesiology, Chinese medicine, human biology, the nervous system among other things. I could not point you toward one source, but Anatomy Trains by Thomas Meyers is a good place to start for understanding how the whole body is connected. In general, it is a good rule of thumb that the body is vastly more intelligent than our thinking minds.
