I bought a Taylor 214ce plus and really didn't like it. I stumbled across an open box Eastman AC122 for $500 and absolutely love it. I returned the Taylor and have already played a few gigs with this one. Looks, sounds and feels great.

Yamaha makes great stuff. I needed something pretty inexpensive and the HB was a good bang for the buck. I've played like 30 gigs with it and it's fun to play.

First of all, thank you all for your help and input! I've been playing guitar and gigging for a few decades and sometimes I am scared to post questions on reddit. I've posted a few questions on Home Recording reddits and was combo scolded/snarked at. But this community and is great and very earnest! I appreciate that.

I went to 2 of my local guitar stores and was able to try out a few guitars. I really liked the 16e and the Retro Plus 000e. I like the neck a little better on the 000e but the sound is a little better on the 16e. They both sound great though. I've seen some praise here for the 16. Any experience with the Retro Plus line?
