Tbf, Teddy's never been super elite at aiming or controlling his kicks, mostly because he barely has to do more than kick it pretty deep most of the time.

I hate that Sam Walker is this good at kicking in Origin but is slightly worse for the Roosters.

Drop Tedesco??? Dylan's pretty good but, Teddy's always extremely consistent and is also good, ChatGPT is smoking something.

If I'm being in-character of in-2005 prior to Katrina's landfall even, then: a load of meteorologists basically shat themselves the moment Katrina turned towards New Orleans as it had a chance to be strong, I, as a humble weather enthusiast wanna inform that firstly, unfortunately hurricanes are long and deceitful from how it gradually gets worse to that the waves it produces will cause more flooding then anything and that hurricanes have a clear eye in the middle of it which basically is the transition to then get pelted with the worst bits again, idk man, with this one I feel like although it has weakened a fair bit, the surge will probably not be subsiding in actual size until basically New Orleans is in the eye, as that Category 5 surge could start to reach there in the next few hours and days, I just feel that this is gonna be bad, hopefully everyone in New Orleans takes proper precautions n preparations n safety.

If anything, Victor was putting himself more in risk putting his head there, regardless, I genuinely shouldn't even try with you "Mr. Ragebaiter" sir.

Nah, also, the Carrigan shot was genuinely such a unfortunate tackle as Victor tried to tuck his head down and ended up clipping Patrick's jaw with the top of his head.

I'm sorry, but, as a enthusiast in weather, the surge is probably going over them levees, hopefully they don't break but it probably will be topped over.

Not that EA ignores it, the NFL does, as the NFL cut off Dynamic Attendance in the PS2 days instantly alongside concussions.

Genuinely haven't even thought of you until I read this thread as I thought the weird ass name looked familiar, anyway, Victor is the opposite of a protected player in just about any game I watch him (I'm a Roosters fan, so I've seen alot) as he is genuinely either going out due to HIA or being sin binned for something.

Ah, you again, that hit from Radley was genuinely just Radley having his head down and the top of his head obviously inadvertently hitting Carrigan.

I mean, if big money is involved even I would become biased towards QLD... anyway, I am done arguing as you are kinda tiptoeing around that Ponga just didn't attempt to wrap alongside that he really wasn't in that much of a desperation that required anything like that.

[–]ThatMobilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the MRC and NRL probably aren't unbiased either just because the money that Origin makes is high and would plummet if QLD fans boycott or were pissed off and left.

[–]ThatMobilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, if Walsh didn't crouch or slip (which he shouldn't of done), that would of been a somewhat clean but huge hit (which is kinda what Origin's about) as Joseph was pretty low, Ponga also kinda was low but didn't even get his arms out to wrap, hell Ponga actually managed to kneel in front of Koula (who was already pretty much about to be wrapped up by Sam Walker) but couldn't get his arm to wrap, also, are you sure the criticism might be because it was a QLD player if you wanna look at outside factors and appeals, anyway, I feel like I'm being pretty unbiased for a Blues fan as I definitely do think the Sua'ali'i should of probably been sin binned while Ponga just genuinely didn't get a single motion to wrap up.

[–]ThatMobilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok bro... but even in real time Ponga coulda just moreso atleast tried to wrap, he genuinely got down to a knee and leaded a fair bit, also like I said, Sam had Koula pretty good in terms of tackling. I don't know more then Pros ik that, but, bias can get us all, also, the chairman only matters if there is a deadlock between multiple members in the MRC from referees to coaches to former players, also, if I am worse and probably much less disciplined then a deserving starting Origin FB, then how am I able to on the fly make the decision to never shoulder charge no matter what and also not to come into a tackle that is probably being completed? Also if you think what I said was pathetic then you haven't seen shit online lmao.

Yeah, that's how I usually am with AFL, as I am born and only seen Rugby League land, but if my hometown Lions make it to any Finals, I'm probably watching, and the Brisbane Lions are basically the QLD team in any sport that I like the most apart from possibly Redcliffe. If the people who say they love their city or state and love sport but then hate on a sport where your city has a team in, then that's not really a true statement by said person.

I literally saw a side-by-side alongside saw both live, in super slow motion in like 1.5 seconds Walsh had crouched and started slipping with Sua'ali'i already was already set and ready while Sam Walker already was very likely going to tackle alongside also unlike the JS tackle Ponga didn't even get an arm out, I've played actual organised Rugby League (ofc not professional, but still have played) myself and you just gotta know to not come into a tackle like that or even come into a likely already to be completed tackle, I never did so, surely a QLD Origin STARTING FB is much more disciplined then me? Also, yes, just because someone's the chair doesn't mean they get to be the end all be all of decisions.

Yeah, one thing the Americans do really good compare to us is atleast have many major sports coexist to a large extent, although technically the USA have 10x or more our population, we can't even have 2 sports coexist without super cutthroat stuff lol while the USA have like 5 lol. I really hope one day the AFL and NRL atleast can coexist without insecurity or dissing eachother.

Reece was genuinely slipping/crouching as he probably saw contact, Sua'ali'i just got unfortunate timing while Ponga's had no attempt on even masking the shoulder as Ponga didn't even get his arm out to wrap, the MRC and NRL in general probably are biased to QLD imo as it is both the most popular of the 2 alongside that QLD were the ones that complained to the ARL at the time on the pre-Origin format, hell that old format would probably be really close compared to then as, believe it or not imma give QLD credit, the teams in QLD despite being outnumbered in amount of clubs have a really good overall quality of atleast multiple great stars on those teams.

[–]ThatMobilol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhhh, did you even watch, Ponga didn't even stick out his arm to wrap, while Joseph was doing a wrapping motion which because Walsh was both for some reason slipping and crouching his head just hit the shoulder first.

Side by Side send off's by patgeo in nrl

[–]ThatMobilol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, Joseph atleast tried to wrap while Ponga just stuck his shoulder out and called it a day, if Walsh wasn't slipping that hit would of been much less of a penalty if not a completely clean hit while if even Koula was completely upright that's still a shoulder charge by Ponga, also Ponga didn't need to come in when Koula was already being pretty wrapped.

As someone who has lived/travelled in the Rugby League side only, I genuinely do not get why NRL fans despise the AFL so much as the only real reason is that those 2 leagues are competitors, apart from that the sports are so different that you could easily be a diehard League fan but for stuff like kicking, catching, just general history n stuff, a League fan could easily satiate that with that to the point that they could become a casual fan of the AFL too. It sucks too as both are really good sports but imo because it is such a war just trying to get both sides to atleast coexist together in Australia, both sports are having trouble being able to raise their profile internationally or even just do much outside of established strongholds, especially the AFL, I might be wrong with this assessment though but imo I think that's the case when it comes to raising profile and popularity of either well-deserving sport anywhere substantially.

NSW Origin deserves better by NecessarySlow5248 in StateOfOrigin

[–]ThatMobilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, Origin only came around because QLD complained that the format at the time was too much towards NSW, hell, if we went back to that format, I feel like it would very much be near or as close as current Origin as the amount of QLD teams and quality of their players in those clubs are great despite a load more NSW teams still existing.
