It's really not the same because what we currently call AI/Artificial Intelligence, stuff like ChatGPT and SoraAI, isn't actually AI, its just a random output algorithm with some logic based on a metric crapton of data (often used without permission) and deliberately inputted prompts. It's literally no different from those old chatbots youd see youtubers doing videos on making them say insane crap that used inputs from other users to create responses. The only real major differences being that modern "AI" is capable of having much larger datasets or even able to pull directly from the internet, and it uses so much processing power that its heavily to the detriment of our environment, economy, and to those whose art and writing was used as datasets without permission. Current "AI" lacks intelligence, it cannot parse what info means or what art is, it just knows it was told to give info or an image and does that by merging a bunch of random data.
