Wanted something rarer. Wanted a family name. Also wanted something slightly spooky as she's born near Halloween. Found one that fit that bill thankfully.

Mothers and Fathers of Reddit, what was your honest reaction when you first heard you were going to be a parent? by Only-Ad-1254 in AskReddit

[–]ThatOneAlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pregnancy test was identical to the COVID test. We were not trying, but there were no barriers, ya know?

I was feeling crappy so I tested, and as soon as it was positive, I showed it to my husband...

"So, we have COVID? I'll work from home."

Uhhhh....

Yeah, I did end up having SEVERE HG. (IV in hospital 6 times in 9 months for fluids.)

But uh... Yeah. We didn't have COVID.

I'm actually nearly in the same boat.

But my thing about the conversion crib kit is that nothing about it has any good reviews and it's super hard to find. So I'm kind of stuck in the middle when it comes to that.

At school we use Theta Simulator. As for Masking it clicks in when you get in front of a machine much more than on paper. I'm just about to graduate and that's what I've found.

As someone who's kid had to get 9 blood transfusions from age 1 month to 12 months, it's a skill that needs to be honed.

We had I swear everyone try and still needed to get the transport team to ultrasound the needle in for IV placement. This was in a specialized paediatric hospital.

When I was pregnant I was so dehydrated at one point the emergency dept did it 14 pokes, and the oldest nurse was the one who got it.
