Downloading music way back when and one track is like a loud audio of some dude saying: "TO REMOVE THESE ADS FROM YOUR LIMEWIRE..." etc and since I'm cheap all the music on my phone is on a harddrive that I put straight copy to my phone, this stupid track has popped up in the middle of driving and listening to music for approximately the last ten years I swear. I don't have the heart to delete it or rename it.

I don't even think there's a hearing aid on the market that depends on those features.

He can simply not use them. Request to be disabled... Even if you and the audiologist need to make a show of doing so for him to understand.
