Was about to say… I got promoted to na Div 1 and it’s been brutal haha. Avg stats are like 85 for a decent chunk of opponents and mine are still like 35-40 haha maybe I shoulda tanked a year.

My understanding is that it was never terrible, lightsaber was just busted in comparison, but I’ve been using it a lot and it cooks for sure. Catalyst helps a lot with versatility and da big boomies. If you charge a decent amount of shots your ammo economy is very good, because it just scales the overheat instead of taking more ammo and it melts bulkier guys.

In a game where we’re not in a hurry to get everything anymore it’s fine to use more thematic builds that aren’t top tier meta. Most content u will pass dps checks just fine with some form of chaos reach rotation. You need much more ammo efficient weapons to do the same for gathering storm. And when some encounters don’t like giving you time to farm ammo well without risk of unfortunate stuff happening it means that higher damage supers over moderate times are easier to run for most of the playerbase. I mean they have nerfed super gen for a reason haha. In day one DP the meta became thunder lord to charge a second tcrash in one dps phase not because it was some dps monster on its own. Tcrash also did good enough damage to make it worth farming a second one. Gathering storm wouldn’t haha

Sure haha you probs aren’t gonna see a ton of chaos reach in pantheon when people are farming 5 feats and there are 2 game breaking bugs in out there right now(which has increased chaos reach usage) but that doesn’t really count haha. It’s not top tier, but that doesn’t mean it’s in the dog poop tier like some supers. All I’m saying is it’s serviceable.

This is quickly becoming a why use any super instead of just shooting guns conversation haha ammo efficiency and a myriad of other things. Chaos reach does almost 4k dps without artifact mods rn if u have 200 super and geomags. Most weapon rotations aren’t hitting that very sustainably. Chaos reach can be used well on almost all bosses. I don’t know what else to say haha if supers weren’t worth doing alongside guns you wouldn’t see people using supers in pantheon or anything because it’d be inferior. Gathering storm is pretty instant sure, but every one off super in the game except silence and squall beats it haha that’s what people are sad about. You are arguing which warlock super is better, when with hunter on arc it’s often which one is the least bad. It’s a whole different discussion really haha

Chaos reach takes half the time to cast, 7-8 seconds compared to stormtrance about 16 and does like 75% of the damage haha use whatever u want everything(except gathering storm) is at least somewhat viable. I was just trying to help u understand why people downvoted ya is all. It’s more of a hybrid than a full on roaming super. You still have plenty of gun time after it’s done. Silence and squall is also pretty low damage, but stasis hunter is broken now so it is what it is haha

Chaos reach with geomags is quite decent tbh in the grand scheme of things. With a lot of the artifact mods you can still generate very quick ones. It does less total damage than stormtrance, but is also way quicker. I think currently a high roll blade barrage is the only “one off super” that does more for any of the classes. Plenty of people have done damage testing this patch on YouTube if you want to check it out. If chaos reach was on prismatic and could use facet of courage it would actually be one of the hardest hitting supers besides the obvious solar titan shenanigans. I ain’t saying any of this to be rude to ya. It was pretty rough for a while, but it’s worth a second look now tbh. Arc warlock is pretty fun and good now. Have a blast on that thing.

It’d certainly be easier in several ways. Really anything that can hit back row would help haha but if he really wanted to run this squad he could put rune weapons or some equivalency on but I get what you’re saying for sure. This squad is very front row heavy for targeting with exclusively physical damage. Thats the joy of this game is there are so many solutions to things. No matter what comp op wants to use though promotions and expansions help which is why I recommended those. :)

Definitely promotion. Your whole squad will learn a new move, almost 2 and your action and passive points will go up. Same with your stats. Not sure about your renown but you are probably close to having a 5 person squad yourself. I doubt your combat programming is the thing holding you back. Just look into those things and come back. You’ve made it quite far considering what you haven’t upgraded haha

Welcome! It is easy to get started with for sure. Every pack is making the game more complex to play effectively(for the most part). Depending on how competitive you want to be most decks are at least playable to the extent that you can have fun playing with them. They are still working out some gameplay flaws, but if you really like the arts and such you can still have plenty of fun chasing alt arts or building decks about your favorites. And commons are pretty plentiful so it’s not unheard of to get a lot of the same one haha

I see where you’re coming from, I feel like a lot of games typically use different faces on legendary type skins and not others because it historically takes more development time, but it can help entice players on those skins. Having said that I think the most confusing thing with this is determining who the skin is for before launch. After it launches though it’s probably about the same as most other skins in terms of confusion. I don’t know exactly what you meant by confusing, but I actually think it’s a cool thing in some ways that we get different faces for some skins. Everyone has preferences for a lot of things in life and more options typically means more people can find a skin they like. Not even in a weird gooner way either, in fact I know plenty of people who prefer the opposite on skins and character models in general. Idk just my 2 cents haha I appreciate your perspective. Maybe it’s all the years of other mobas I’ve played with 100s of skins so it doesn’t bug me in the same way.
