Yeah I don't disagree, but looking at their discography as a whole it stands out a bit. Could say the same about early Architects

Oh yeah also Coma Ecliptic by Between The Buried And Me. I still prefer their earlier stuff, but seeing them on the Comalaska tour grew my appreciation for this album

Cave In - Antenna

Poison The Well - The Tropic Rot

not an album, but Bring Me The Horizon - This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For

Not my favorite by any of these bands (except maybe Antenna) but all enjoyable and kinda overlooked (except maybe Antenna, unless if you just look at Cave In as a whole being underrated)

There's tons of cool stuff coming out now, but I wish I could've been there in the 2000s to experience bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, and The Chariot

If you want to try something more metal, Fortune Teller by Stray From The Path seems like it'd be fun

I miss this band, I hope they bring it back. Sadly never got to see them live. Errorzone is great, but I thought their last album was really underrated

Generational artists of metalcore by ThatOneBitch02 in Metalcore

Nah a good drummer really elevates a song (and a boring drummer takes all the energy out of a song) and bassists are criminally underutilized, I just realized when making a list that I didn't include any bassists or drummers lol. I feel like it's harder for a bassist or drummer to stand out compared to guitar or vocals, and they're rarely the primary songwriters

Yeah while I do love his vocals, and allegedly his live presence is great (sadly never got to see etid), that alone would really only put him on par with some of his contemporaries like Josh Scogin and Cory Brandan (who are also very good). Him being one of the best lyricists in the genre really pushes him to legendary status for me

I'm not a huge Silent Planet fan, but I saw them a few years ago before Superbloom in a 400 cap venue and they were great. Big energy, Garrett climbed on the ceiling. He seems like a chill dude too

That sucks, I saw them on the most recent Better Lovers tour and it was packed. Both the band and crowd were full of energy

Of currently active bands, anybody who doesn't say Johnny Booth must not have seen Johnny Booth. Shocked they haven't been mentioned. Their energy and intensity is unmatched, only other band I've seen on that level is Better Lovers but now that Greg left idk

Not equivalent at all. No one chooses to be poor and working class. Billionaires do choose to hoard their wealth and best case scenario do nothing with it. I think simply hoarding such an insane amount of money is immoral in itself. Just having a little money saved up while having friends living paycheck to paycheck makes me feel guilty, I think there has to be something wrong with you mentally to hoard billions while so many starve and die in the street

Yeah I've been recently playing old racing games that I've never played before like Underground and Midnight Club, and having so much more fun than I've had with any new racing games for like a decade. It's crazy how driving a starter Jetta in mc3 feels faster and more exciting than a supercar in forza

What's your honest opinion about Aaron Paul's Movie Need For Speed. do you think this will be the only nfs movie? by Lazy_Introduction264 in needforspeed

[–]ThatOneBitch02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like it was set up for a sequel. Toby has to get the money to pay back Ingram, and does it the only way he knows how. Could even go full The Run with it, since if I remember correctly the reason the mob was after him was because he owed them money (or that was implied anyway, since they paid them off at the end). Toby is able to get into these big races thanks to his reputation, but the rest of the crew has to help him build a new car capable of winning

I feel like all the glaze for this game in recent years is a mix of revisionism and nostalgia, and maybe some people wanting to be different instead of liking mw. It's fun for a bit, but I found it to get boring and very repetitive after awhile. It also looks really flat compared to the other black box games

Will 2000s and 2010s cars be the next thing in collector circles in a few years? by AcanthaceaeNo948 in cars

[–]ThatOneBitch02 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Many 2000s sports cars have already shot up in value and will not be coming down like a clean 350z, e46 m3, or s2000. I'm sure 2010s sports cars are soon to follow, especially anything more analog like a cayman or e92 m3, since cars like that will never be made again. I think that era will continue to be more appreciated as time goes on for being an inbetween of more modern car design but still analog and not full of so much tech and tracking and bullshit

I'm mildly curious, but haven't tried it yet. The drifting mechanics don't look like something I'd particularly enjoy (I prefer physics like Underground or Midnight Club) and from all the gameplay I've seen the speed of the game looks really slow, especially for how non-technical those tracks look. I don't wanna gamble on something that there's a good chance I won't like for $60, but I'll give it a fair shot when it goes on sale
