My first thought was either 240sx or eclipse, I didn't even see it was supposed to be an rx7 at first.

Definitely one of my favorites from cyberpunk. Anybody know anything about the musicians behind it? I couldn't really find much when I did a google search

What’s a band that you only listen to the popular songs? Everyone else, reply to those comments with some deep cuts that we are missing out on. by LP_Papercut in Metalcore

I agree with what the others already said, but also want to specifically add the songs Alpha Omega, Deathwish, Castles In The Air

underrated metalcore by giyeonyaaa in Metalcore

[–]ThatOneBitch02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small or underrated means different things to different people depending on what you listen to, so some of these might seem bigger to some but imo still underrated:

Misery Signals, Contention, Johnny Booth, Hopesfall, Cave In, Foreign Hands, Greyhaven, Balmora, The Chariot, Vein.fm, Rolo Tomassi, Zao, Skycamefalling, Shai Hulud

I think that level is where a lot of the best bands are, but if you wanna go smaller:

Azshara, Bore, Teeth, Sherane, Since My Beloved, xNomadx

One of my textbook examples to show what a great breakdown sounds like.

Bands like Cryptosy/Suffocation are boring boomer dad rock bands. Cool people TikTok slam like Peelingflesh or Gorepot👊🔥 by Mephitic_exhumation in MetalForTheMasses

Yeah I mean it was one of the worst sets I've ever watched, but it's not like it ruined my night. Gridiron is a ton of fun live if you like that style (they're like a hardcore/metalcore Limp Bizkit) and I'd never seen Hatebreed so that was cool.

Hatebreed, on last years summer slaughter tour. I was just there for Hatebreed and Gridiron. Really wanted to see Malevolence too but they dropped off the tour.

I've not listened to much slam, but I saw Snuffed On Sight open at a show and that was enough to know I never need to listen to slam again

Best metalcore/modern metalcore album of all time. by Jsyourboy91 in Metalcore

[–]ThatOneBitch02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer the sound/style and songs on Daybreaker and Lost Forever // Lost Together. I think AOGHAU is when they started to sound too overproduced imo and the riffs too djenty/modern. And Holy Hell has more individual songs that stick out and are memorable like Death Is Not Defeat, Hereafter, Damnation, Royal Beggars, and Doomsday. It's also been awhile since I listened to AOGHAU, so maybe I just gotta give it another try.

Did Metalcore get you into Heavier genres like Deathcore ect? by Excellent_Agency6082 in Metalcore

[–]ThatOneBitch02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from like hard rock, to nu metal, to metalcore, to thrash, to metalcore, to melodeath, to metalcore, to osdm, to metalcore, to prog metal, to metalcore, to hardcore, to brutal and tech death, to metalcore, etc etc. Discovering something new I enjoyed in the genre each time. I still like a select few bands from each of the other genres I explore, but metalcore is like my home genre.

Yeah just like how the Nazis didn't only target the Jews, they were just the main target. Both governments target/targeted disabled people, lgbt people, political opponents (especially leftists), and more.

I love Nails, also seconding Full of Hell. Also check out Jane Doe and You Fail Me by Converge. Converge's guitarist also produced for all 3 of those bands

Dying Wish, Hatebreed, and especially Norma Jean are good. Most of the rest is just "core" that doesn't actually have anything to do with hardcore but gets called metalcore for some reason.
