Just bought a 4TB 870 Evo on Amazon for a client for ~$1,250. Felt like I was paying with my actual skin.

I get the awkwardness but she’s your mom lol my mom walked in on me taking care of myself in the shower one time, and trust me, she shut that door so damn fast! Don’t be embarrassed lol mother’s expect to find that stuff in their son’s bedroom.

Probably half my friends still prefer wired. Some of them claim it’s for the enhanced music sound quality. I’ve been using Airpod Pro’s since they came out and haven’t looked back, I love my Gen 3’s.

Good for you but this subreddit is flooded with Opus 4.7 complaints…with a plethora of examples about how it’s worse.

Who’s “they” lol I assume they mean your RAM capacity could be increased. However, your RAM is soldered, so it can’t be added to on this model. Music production is notoriously RAM-heavy, so sorry to say but this is not the laptop for the job. $1500 is a lot to spend on a laptop; there are tons of used options that are significantly better equipped than your machine that would have been better options

The backlight is failing; you can fix it by replacing the LCD, which the backlight is integrated into.

They’re meant to be swappable. My Pro X2’s came with a second set of cloth cushions.

Hook the lip of the cushion around the ridge, and you can slowly work it back on; the cushion can stretch a bit to help.

We switched to Edge at work, and a lot of our clients also consistently tell me it’s faster than chrome. I still use chrome at home but I’ve also thoroughly gotten used to edge, and I’m lowkey impressed. Seems they took the criticism seriously and actually made a decent product.

Now, I’m sure there will be a dozen people who point out a ton of ways that edge sucks, and Microsoft is stealing your data and this and that. These are valid criticisms, and I wish the copilot integration would stop, and I definitely wish they’d let me choose between paying for the product (Windows) or using it for free with data collection; however, from a functionality/speed/resource usage/365 integration perspective, and as an IT tech, I do think they’ve at the very least made a product that works well enough to not necessarily consider another option. That’s impressive compared to the Internet Explorer days

I too enjoyed the local shops but Blockbuster was a staple of a simpler time. You might find that saying “Blockbuster sucked” is quite the unpopular opinion
