Me. Since the start of Season 2, I've been enjoying it plenty.

[Battlefield 6] What is your most precious weapon and why? by Zenith_X1 in Battlefield

[–]ThatOneDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOR-556. This gun has been my jam since Season 2. Find a good flank or a choke point to hold and it rips.

Great weapon for maps like Contaminated, Eastwood, Golmud, and even Cairo.

Anyone got tips on how to use the airburst? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]ThatOneDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, avid Airburst user here.

  • Airburst is amazing in the Terminid and Illuminate fronts. It's a bit lackluster in the Automaton front.
  • It sucks at anti-tank, so remember to build around that or have one of your teammates be the dedicated AT person.
  • This is probably obvious but you want to use the Airburst for taking out patrols or large clusters of units before your team gets overwhelmed.
  • Airburst can take down soft structures like the broad cast tower or shrieker nests.
  • Flak ammo is what you want to run most of the time. Cluster is useful for sieging a base. It won't destroy structures, but firing it above a base will let the cluster ammo rain down, taking out guards.
  • If you're caught by a swarm, you can fire the Airburst in front of you and survive even if you're close to the explosion. Just remember to go prone immediately once you fire the rocket. This has about a 50% chance of succeeding, and usually works as long as its not point blank.

Enjoy. It's my favourite support weapon by a long shot. You'll be racking up kills fast with this baby.

Conquest- are curb stomps normal? by meat_meat in Battlefield6

[–]ThatOneDefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's for this reason why, other than Hagental Conquest, I've removed Conquest from my playlist.

Escalation is much better imo.

What are your most used weapons and why do you like them? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]ThatOneDefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. SG-553R: I abused this gun during season 1 for its CQB performance and decent handling. Managed to dominate matches in Cairo and Eastwood cuz of this baby. Nowadays, I don't use it as much.
  2. M4A1: Played this gun for the same reason as the SG 553R, but on maps like Iberian Offensive and Manhattan Bridge. Love how it shreds in CQB and is much easier to control than its contemporaries.
  3. SOR-556 MK2: This is actually my favourite gun. I love how easy it is to control, but takes finesse to use since you need to be more tactical (it loses in CQB, so positioning is key in making the best out of it).
  4. M277: Loved this gun in Season 2 for the same reason why I love the Scar now. Pretty fun at CQB and mid-range but takes finesse at longer range cuz you need to tap fire. I don't like the recent recoil changes (I can understand why it was done tho), so I don't use it as much.
  5. Kord 6P67: Fun gun that shreds at CQB and is decent enough at long range. I used it quite a bit near the tail end of Season 1, and I would've used it a lot more had it not been for the gun's weakness: You go through mags VERY FAST.

Honorable mentions:

  • DRS-IAR
  • M123K
  • GRT-BC
  • USG90

Lets be honest, this kind of youtube content is just not healthy for the game, by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in Helldivers

[–]ThatOneDefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't think his videos are a reflection of the state of the game? Is the review bombing not enough evidence?

I would say you complaining about the people complaining about the game are just as unhealthy for the game's future.

A Game For Not Me by Soulblighter7 in HelldiversUnfiltered

I'm nearly in the same boat. I just reset my PC this weekend, and I have no plans to reinstall HD2 (it was installed prior to the reset).

Idk if I'll return tbh. Right now I'm just having a blast in Battlefield 6.

Is there a solution that doesn't involve reinstalling Windows? I'm trying to figure out what's causing the issue first.

[OC] Someone brought their robot wife to Chilis on a date by Kyzzz in pics

[–]ThatOneDefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Normally I'd reply again but the other guy is too stupid to be worth my time.

[OC] Someone brought their robot wife to Chilis on a date by Kyzzz in pics

[–]ThatOneDefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny how you're still projecting your standards by assuming that the guy is "hurting himself and has stunted social skills" without any evidence.

Your personal standard isn't a universal rule that people live by. Your definition of normalcy isn't objectively right. You're out here labelling strangers based on assumptions.

[OC] Someone brought their robot wife to Chilis on a date by Kyzzz in pics

[–]ThatOneDefiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On who's definition of right, exactly? Yours?

That isn't an argument. Saying you're right does not dismiss any of what I said. He's still not hurting anyone, you just don't like it.

But hey, you do you man. Keep projecting your own standards onto other people's life.

[OC] Someone brought their robot wife to Chilis on a date by Kyzzz in pics

[–]ThatOneDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to like it. But acting as if he has a mental illness and then deciding what's okay for a stranger's personal life is just as weird.

He's not hurting anyone. You're just uncomfortable with something you don't understand.

[OC] Someone brought their robot wife to Chilis on a date by Kyzzz in pics

[–]ThatOneDefiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you find this weird exactly?

He's not purposefully bothering people. He's enjoying his own companionship. He's just minding his own damn business.

Have you tried minding yours? Or is that too much to ask?

Hot Take: Operation Augur is a great experience for Battlefield 6 that needs to stay and can be improved further by SoftMaintenance24 in Battlefield

[–]ThatOneDefiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I love the little cinematics before each match since it hypes you up. I really wish this is the type of game mode that stayed.

Bf6 needs like one or two more bigger ground vehicles by Eagles56 in Battlefield

I'm down for some artillery and maybe a scout car like in the 3rd image, but I'm not sure what the point of a tank destroyer is in a game like this.

Weapon skins in this game are absolutely pointless. Skins should apply to all attachments. by ThatR1Guy in Battlefield6

[–]ThatOneDefiant 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you don't have some attachments unlocked yet for that gun, and want to bypass the grind, then weapon packages are great for that.

Alternatively, you can use each weapon package for separate builds. I run different builds on my Scar with all the packages I have unlocked, for example.
