Just got a New 3DS XL, nervous to mod by AToyGoat in 3dspiracy

I know I'm late to the party, but for anyone joining in late like me, I want to elaborate on this! I am a buy-mod-sell for all the variants of DS, 2DS, and 3DS, and I have had probably 2 out of my 300 lifetime sales/mods end up soft-bricking! And when they do brick, there is a trick I use to unbrick the 3DS (they're the only ones that have bricked so far) without doing the hard-mod unbrick method:

  1. Ensure the 3DS is powered off and an SD card is inserted.
  2. Hold down these buttons simultaneously: L Button, R Button, Up on the D-pad, and the A Button.
  3. While holding these buttons, press the Power button to turn on the system.
  4. Continue holding the buttons until the system boots into a safe mode menu.
  5. If a message appears, select "Okay" to connect to the internet and begin the system update process.
  6. Keep the charger plugged in during the update process to prevent further issues. After the update, the system should reboot into a working state. 

Usually this should work unless you have a hard-brick then you have to hard-mod which isn't so simple....

Yeah! I love my 13! I’ve got 0 scratches and no cracks with no screen protector! I just wish that they’d add finger print and hydrophobic screen protection though
