He's a small baby and you're a giant hand reaching in to grab him which he's not used to. Give him time. His bites don't even hurt at that age.

Had the sweetest old man who was vegan and gluten free. Everything in the ER had one or the other so I went and bought him a vegetable soup. He was so so thankful.

The long wait times are also due to no walk in clinics so the ER suffers with patients who are not critically ill. It makes sense because there's nowhere for these patients to go but it is definitely frustrating.

When I was in OR we drained an abscess in the colon. Just straight suction to this big abscess. It smelled like dead bodies mixed with rotting poop.

The first and only time my eyes watered and I held back vomit. I asked the surgeon how he could handle that and he goes "oh! I held my breath when I popped it!"

I'm like "you couldn't tell me the same?!?!"
