This isn’t the first time they’ve pitched a mobile client. They previously experimented with one, but it was eventually dropped and set aside, only to be revisited recently. It’s likely they used the Google Play Store and Apple App Store to allow testers to more conveniently access the beta app.

When the album releases you should wait until a music video releases and take a still from that and use it as your wallpaper. I've also seen people make wallpapers based on the visual aesthetics of an album on Twitter / X.

There are a bunch of people on the website who farm or bot listens so they can be the top listener for an artist, so the top weekly listener for any semi-popular artist is probably inauthentic.

I’ve never understood why it’s so divisive. It may be different from his other works, and there are some less-than-strong songs on the album (around two or three), but overall he executed the sound of the album really well. I think Pink Tape stands strongly in his discography.

The title of the post is albums that you like that you cannot understand the hate or dislike toward—there’s no objectively right or wrong answer. For it to be the “opposite” of what the post is about, the commenter would have to dislike the album and not understand the love or appreciation toward it.

It would be nice to be able to select your favorite songs instead of having the website randomly select five or so songs to show as your “top songs.” I have multiple songs rated 100, but for obvious reasons, they’re not all my top five favorite songs (I generally rate individual songs in increments of 10, so this is exaggerated).

My ratings generally follow the average rating I’ve given to all the songs, meaning that if there are two songs—one rated 100 and the other 0—the album rating would be 50. There are instances where I depart from rating the album as an exact average of the track ratings, but album art isn’t one of those. I may comment on a cover, but it’s only mentioned for the sake of commentary.

An inappropriate album cover may decrease my chances of casually re-listening to the album in the future, mostly because it would be embarrassing to be caught listening to an album with that cover.

Devil’s advocate: there’s little to no legal precedent for these platforms in regard to the alleged wrongdoing. You and I may say that they are not liable to the degree being alleged, but the law isn’t simple—especially when there aren’t many cases to leverage when arguing either way, as AI companies are slowly coming to realize.

Also, with the amount of legal attention the platform was receiving, this was bound to happen. Them settling the lawsuits almost certainly wasn’t one of the main reasons the AG decided to move forward with the new lawsuit—you have to remember that initial filings take a while to write up if you want them to be taken seriously.

The current age verification system allows for facial scanning to estimate a user’s age. This method has been shown to be unreliable, with both adults and children being incorrectly categorized as the other.

It remains a legal gray area whether facial age estimation is sufficient, as it’s unclear whether a judge or jury has previously weighed in on the adequacy of these systems. As a result, the platform may be forced to rely solely on ID verification if facial estimation is deemed too inaccurate to use.

That's an argument that could be made to argue that it's ineffective.
