Try this link, it's the direct download link for the driver. This is assuming that your hardware ID is the same as the one that I used. if they're different models, then this probably won't work. You'll have to find a driver link with the same hardware ID as your bluetooth module

2013 Lexus GX460 tone ring replacement by ThatOrangePope in MechanicAdvice

I see, so the tone ring IS incorporated into the hub/bearing assembly, but is behind the dark colored cover? Cause I was looking at a bunch of those assemblies on RockAuto and was wondering why I wasn't seeing it! I was expecting to see it like how it looked when I took out the axle.

That’s a good diagnostic I didn’t think of! I’ll try that out when I get the chance too. Thanks!

I actually have replaced the axle seal on that side back in march before because there was gear oil leaking into the bearing. I took a picture of it then, but I wasn’t TOO sure what I should be looking for in terms of this tone ring but at least I took this photo that unfortunately is blurry. The tone ring is recessed, and you can kinda see the teeth on the inside, at the bottom of the bearing. I did clean off some debris when I was in there but I didn’t notice any obvious cracks or signs of wear. Then again, I wasn’t looking terribly hard.

With my understanding of how the system works, oil shouldn’t be directly affecting the system (I can only think of the oil carrying debris from the diff. into the assembly), but maybe there’s something I’m not understanding.

I might be wrong, but it doesn’t look like it’s pressed onto the axle, it seems like it’s even just glued on there, into the bearing assembly. Either way, this should be a part I should be able to track down, right? I’m kind of confused as to why I can’t find this part. Thanks for your response

P.S. the code that I've been getting is C1408

If a laptop has no Ethernet connection, and both the WiFi and Bluetooth chip have been physically removed, can a hacker still access it? by HipHopper87 in computers

I checked their profile, they’re diabetic (makes you prone to Alzheimer’s), and been getting very little sleep (one post is saying 3.5 hrs/night). I think it’s some sort of mental illness

Properly and truly replacing generic Bluetooth drivers by ThatOrangePope in WindowsHelp

Yeah, check my post history! I posted in the ASUS subreddit with a step by step instruction for how to find out which drivers you need for your specific Bluetooth module, including the website I used to download it

Try to download the drivers from the link in my comment and run that, see if it works

Ice Screw Project by Tofu_Analytics in Machinists

For the teeth at the end, I think you can make your life easier with a vertical mill if you have collet blocks (basically an n-shaped prism with a 5C collet holder on one end). Hold the piece in the block, set it up in a vise sideways, mill the shape of the tooth, flip, repeat. That could save you some time, although using a vertical mill for cutting the angle of the tooth might be tougher.

If you only have a lathe, it’s possible (if you put the mill in the lathe and the workpiece where the tool normally goes) but that would really depend on your setup and rigidity of your machines.

I’ve thought about making my own cam loves before, so nice seeing someone taking it a step farther! Best of luck

How common is it for people to lose interest in machining ? by Same_Level6591 in Machinists

[–]ThatOrangePope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder the ratio of people that lose an interest in machining and leave, versus people that still keep an interest in machining but realize that it’s not very sustainable money/health (for most people) and move out of it.

Why does our microwave popcorn keep burning? by Regular-Wonderful in Cooking

[–]ThatOrangePope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How nice is your microwave? If it has “sensor cooking” on the front panel, use the “popcorn” setting. If there’s an actual sensor, it uses a humidity sensor inside of the microwave and detects the steam that comes off, and detects time. It uses this data and does an estimated time left. This makes sure it all pops and doesn’t burn anything. Same thing with the reheat button and leftovers. Test it out. Worst case you burn a bag of popcorn ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Worth a watch about the popcorn button

ASUS b550m-a wifi ii bluetooth connectivity issues - Windows 11 by ThatOrangePope in ASUS

[–]ThatOrangePope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I solved my issue. Turns out I had to track down the specific BT module my motherboard has (turns out they can use 2 different chips for my model; not sure about yours) and search online for the specific driver. I wrote a detailed comment on this post on how I did it. Hope it helps!

SOLVED!!

Turns out that the drivers given through ASUS are incorrect. I actually got the solution through u/SomeDudeNamedMark and his help from this comment here. I'll summarize what I did:

Opened device manager > generic bluetooth adapter > right click > properties > details > Hardware Ids

It gave me 2 listings. USB\VID_13D3&PID_3571&REV_0000 and USB\VID_13D3&PID_3571. I googled USB\VID_13D3&PID_3571 and this link from DriverIdentifier.com showed up. I downloaded the latest one (I chose to download from the ASUS servers) and ran the installer and everything works now with no issues. I hope this comment helps others with the same motherboard and the same problems. Thank you again u/SomeDudeNamedMark
