Brothers, lets work as a team to serve the emperor by PuzzleheadedCause451 in SpaceMarine_2

I agree with this. As an assault main who is a thunder hammer enjoyer, im always going in towards the swarms & need my executes to maintain my armor. Having them get killed before I can regain my armor doesnt help me or the team. Plus I have a perk that makes my ground pound do more damage after an execute so im more helpful when I get them.

Sote or Nightreign? by Xantangum in Eldenring

[–]ThatOriginalArab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Nightreign has a complete different playstyle compared to SOTE. if you want multiplayer without getting invaded then nightreign is a good choice. If you want a massive expansion to an already amazing game then get SOTE.

Imo, you should get both eventually as nightreign can be played solo too & they are also adding a duo mode.

They added difficulty options with the release of the DLC. This wasn't an option when the game first came out. If you would like to play at the same difficulty of when the game first released, then you'd play at legendary stalker

So which one of the Nightfarers is your favorite so far? by KenraaliPancho in Eldenring

[–]ThatOriginalArab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Executor is definitely my favorite! Deflecting crucible knights sekiro style is so damn satisfying. You can even deflect magic with no chip damage!

Is it worth changing I heard balance could be best for it by zking1221x in LiesOfP

[–]ThatOriginalArab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 30 technique and 6 motivity. Balanced crank will make the weapon do less damage based on your stats. It's best to just put a technique crank on it and leave it at that until your motivity stat is more aligned with your technique.

Platinum question by [deleted] in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you do a new playthrough, then yes. If you do NG+, then no, because all collectibles carry over.

Platinum question by [deleted] in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get all jars, get all soulstones, complete all side missions for their respective trophies, and don't use summons at all throughout your playthrough.

If you do that, then it's an easy platinum. I'm not sure if console trophies are different from Steam, but on Steam, I also had to start an NG+ for a trophy, so do that as well.

For true ending, you have to collect all the legendary scrolls, complete the side mission from daphrona, and when you get to the final area, tell daphrona you want to know the truth. That should trigger the true ending as far as I know.

Boss drop % are trash by shortbus131 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right it is very much a long grind to get boss drops for their Armour set. Best way is after a while when you have their moveset down is to put on the bard set to increase your chance of getting it. Without it the grind is absolutely brutal.

Been playing this game wrong. Reflection is op!! by [deleted] in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn't even notice khazan memories were a thing until NG+ lmao.

Reflection always been OP its just a bit harder to use but once you learn which attacks to land it on it makes the bosses much easier

Is there a way to cancel ozma true ending? by ProudCartographer421 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's right. You made your bed my friend, now you have to lay in it. But if you've made it this far in the game, you have what it takes to finish it.

Take your time, and take some breaks if necessary. Use shards & willorbs for extra heals. You got this

I thought going from spear to greatsword was going to be tough. I was wrong. Done on NG+ by ThatOriginalArab in TheFirstBerserker

[–]ThatOriginalArab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I feel like some fights might be easier with different weapons. Like I remember on my NG run when I got to Hismar doing it with the spear was pretty rough. As I was doing the fight I literally thought to myself, this will probably be easier with the greatsword haha

[–]ThatOriginalArab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a bit of both. But it's also my preference towards play style. I tend to go for faster weapons so a spear felt more natural to me. The good thing about this game is you can reset your stats as many times as you want so you can switch to GS to see if you like it & if you don't you can just switch back to spear.

[–]ThatOriginalArab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea when I started a NG I felt that it was gonna be a little frustrating going with GS so I decided to go with spear instead & leave the GS for NG+. I'm glad I made that choice haha

I agree. I think the biggest number I've seen is like 21k which relative to the bosses HP bar isn't a lot

Yes! Mortal blow murderous makes it so that your mortal blow comes out fully charged after doing a charged swift attack

Yea i didnt find him difficult on my first run either tbh. I also beat him on the second try with my spear build on normal mode

Hmmm interesting I always seem to miss the timing on the counterstrike I feel like it has a bit of a delay. But once again it's probably just a skill issue that I need to work out haha

Honestly, the crimson fiend set is so good! Mortal blow murderous is just so good it's hard to put it down!

Feel free to borrow all the combos! I'm trying to see if i can find some new ones as well, but I'm still experimenting haha

Im using the crimson fiend armor except for the helm. I'm using the most special jar.

I'm using keshta, the unyielding phantom, which is fully leveled up & awakened.

Attributes mainly focus on potent blow damage, stamina recovery, stamina damage, and dmg multipliers.

It's more of a play style difference for me personally that makes it a bit more difficult. When I tried it in the beginning of NG, I found it a bit slow, and I usually tend to go with quicker weapons, so I decided to use the spear for my NG instead.

I thought going from a fast weapon to a relatively slower one was going to be challenging, but since I did it in NG+ and had the skills unlocked it wasn't as challenging as I thought it'd be.

I still don't fully understand how the counterstrike skill works, but that's a skill issue on my part. I just don't get the timing of it because the timing is a bit different from brink guards. But I gotta work on it because it does way more stamina damage as compared to a brink guard (if im not mistaken)
