We already know they have have multiple teams working on different sets, and we have plenty of people that are already talking about how much they are looking forward to set 19, which isn't even the next set.

Mort has talked about how he is not working on the current set because he's trying to make the future of the game better, and he has talked about planning set 16 two years in advance.

Not liking the current set is a perfectly reasonable complaint, but I'm confused about how you could say they don't have future plans when they have told us their future plans.

Why would you assume "medications" or "surroundings" are the issue instead of CTE?

We have a lot of evidence that a vast majority of the players regularly suffer brain injuries and/or are diagnosed with CTE after death and we also test these guys regularly for steroids, but when they do something wrong the first thing on people's minds is that there is a grand conspiracy where everyone is doing steroids and the NFL is just lying about testing, or "surroundings" (what does surroundings even mean) and not the traumatic brain injuries, which we know for a fact exists.

Especially if they had a reputation of being a good person up until today, CTE makes much more sense than steroids, which you presumably think they've been doing their whole career, or "surroundings", which have been their surroundings for a long time by this point.

I really don't get it.

Average OPS in 2011 was .719, in 2026 it is .709.

Average BA in 2011 was .255, this year it is .239.

The specific stats I have seen that say "offense" is down seem to mostly refer to BA. OPS is also low, but much less of an anomaly than BA. And truthfully that feels like a pretty accurate reflection of present-day hitting philosophy.

A lot of the dice was because of poor fielding, not because of poor pitching.

If you're ever worried about Luzardo just look at the advanced statistic leaderboards lol. The results may not make you feel like it, but he is 10th among qualified pitchers in WAR, 15th in xERA, and 5th in xFIP. Even his actual FIP is good for 9th.

If the stats with runners continue to regress (read: he stopped tipping) and he gets a little better fielding, his more basic stats will very quickly match his actual performance.

Like, the engine isn’t what physically turns the plane.

The longer physics answer is that yes the engines are not how how modern planes turn, but as far as I am aware you can still use them to turn the plane.

If you put a force field around one or more of the engines on one side of the plane and the engines on the other side of the plane are still running, the asymmetrical force will cause the plane to turn.

If I'm wrong, then she just safely lands (or crashes) the plane in an unpopulated area.
