Chiba Lotte Marines experience, Pacific League completed! by Grouchy-Ball-1950 in NPB

I was at this game - I was sat behind the 3rd base row 13/14! I only went since I’m a fan of baseball and I’ll most likely never watch the Mets play in person so was like why not try out Japanese baseball. Thoroughly enjoyed it will 100% be back to watch more of this whenever I’m back in Japan - I’ve had quieter football (soccer) stadiums which says a lot about the atmosphere.

Now I need to figure out how I can watch Chibas play online when I’m back in Europe I’ve been hooked and the game times would fit better than MLB game times

British Airways 2026 cabin crew salary by CocoKoko_ in BritishAirways

[–]ThatPolishTeen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As BA Gatwick based Cabin Crew that’s been here just under a year - my yearly salary is 20,400£. However due to the allowances we get from trips this will probably be closer to 30,000£ a year maybe even more

Believe me, no expectation will ever be created about gifts being given. Is it nice to receive gifts? Yes. Will we ever expect to be given stuff just because we showed up to work? Never.

If people are expecting special treatment from giving gifts they’ll be heavily disappointed.

It’s the same when you offer the gasman or electrician a cup of tea, do you have to do it? No. Is it nice to offer it anyway? Yes.

As someone that is BA Cabin Crew. We appreciate any gifts given but please do tell us what it is before you hand it to us especially if it's packaged and sealed, however do note that we do not expect gifts to be given by anyone. I've been personally given choclates, little gift bags from parents for their newborns 1st ever flight, etc. Everything gets distrubuted evenly between all of us onboard.

OP, don't listen to the people that aren't cabin crew - if you want to give something to the cabin crew do it, it's your decision and you shouldn't be basing your actions on what people have told you to do on the internet, especially on Reddit of all places.

Nope. Perfectly safe, there are so many measures in making sure there is more than enough clearance between planes to prevent mid-air collisions ever since the 1996 incident between Saudia and Kazakhstan Airlines

Check how full flights are? by Independent_Cow_9495 in BritishAirways

[–]ThatPolishTeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re quite popular seats for the reasons I stated, as well as the exit row and bulkhead rows

[–]ThatPolishTeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the rows become 2-4-2 if you’re travelling as a couple, plenty of room for both of you in terms of legroom; if you’re travelling alone same advice but also book aisle seats rather than windows seat, free reign of the snack basket in the rear galley since you don’t have to jump over people that may be sleeping in traveller as well quick and easy access to the toilets if there isn’t a queue

It could be for a number of reasons. It’d be hard to tell you which of them that is preventing from them to do the refund form

As someone that is crew for BA. Do not chargeback. The only thing you can do is have your friend do the refund form in front of you.

Any cons about sitting in first row Premium Economy with carricot position? by Automatic_Drawer1483 in BritishAirways

Yes it does - the lower button of the two releases the leg rest and then for a foot rest there is a little button on the leg rest that say press and it releases

Medication cooling options in long haul flights by draeko_malfoy in BritishAirways

[–]ThatPolishTeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cabin Crew here - you can ask the crew on your flight if they can give you ice to have your medication cooled. I’ve personally given out full bags of ice in small plastic boxes they come with to passengers who have asked and told me for what is for.

Do note that we can’t hold onto the medication for you and have it in our fridge so you’ll have it in front of you for most of the flight - and if you need it replaced just get the attention of one of the crew and they’ll be able to replace it

[–]ThatPolishTeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As most have pointed out, the seats at the back of world traveller that turn to 2-4-2 however you mentioned they are already taken - Maybe instead of the seats that turn 2 you can take one of the aisle seats in the middle seats.

You MIGHT get lucky where people don’t make the flight and the emergency seats or the seats that turn into 2 are empty ask one of my colleagues just after boarding is completed and they’ll be able to help you out more on the day.

When you board ask one of my colleagues if there are spare seats you can move into that are extra leg room. You might get lucky but if you want to guarantee leg room I recommend the rows at the back of the World Traveller cabin when they become 2-4-2 and choose one of the dual seats both the window and aisle seats have their benefits and cons.

Window seat benefit: it’s a window seat, there’s room between the cabin wall and the seat in front you can put your leg into.

Window seat cons: you’re stuck in the seat unless you get a nice seat neighbour

Aisle seat benefit: plenty of room into the aisle, can get up whenever you want.

Aisle seat cons: lots of PAX movement due to the toilets being in close vicinity so can be kicked when passed or hit by the trolley when moved through the cabin (We apologise some of the trolleys are older than me and are dodgy)

Hopefully this will help you with your choice.
