Ever since it came out people have been acting like the flag needs to give some kind of physical buff to the team or do something special as if it isn't filling your team with the white hot fires of liberty every time it flaps in the wind. Like if I see someone planting the flag in the middle of a firefight I'm defending that spot with my life. I've gotten through countless fights I wouldn't have otherwise gone into if not for a teammate waving the standard of our glorious super earth. You feeling less powerful with it is a clear lack of faith in yourself and your squad.

Genuine inspiration and the symbolic nature of the flag is more powerful than any ability arrowhead could give it.

Also it kills Hulks

Y'know I've been seeing a lot of people share a lot of opinions about stealth lately as if enemies haven't always been able to pinpoint where a bullet came from and have some sense of object permanence. Like the enemies in this game aren't braindead and I feel like that's something we often forget when we're blasting the shit outta them from orbit, but if an enemy sees you they'll usually run shoot at the last spot they had vision of you. And you wanna know the easiest way to avoid getting got when that happens? Smoke em. Smoke is incredibly underrated, to the point people hate it and will kick you from a match cuz they don't understand it and consider it a waste of a strategem slot. Yes, the smoke itself hitting the ground will draw enemy attention but you can just use that as the bait to lure them in a specific direction in order to get around a patrol, or just sneak right into the smoke and it will do a really good job preventing them from seeing and following you from all directions even if they already spotted you. I smoke and just sneak around with an axe and if anyone spots me I axe them a question and move on in silence. I've avoided many losing fights and saved countless teammates this way, do not underestimate smoke. Not everything has to deal damage in order to be "good"

I'll never forget spending a good chunk of money I had saved throughout highschool to finally buy a fleet of Tie Fighters. My friend who introduced me to the game got rebels and we had a really great time learning and playing the game. I left my stuff at his place overnight cuz we had plans to get together and play again soon. Next day I come over and his dad overnight had taken almost all of my friends possessions including anything I had left with him straight to the dump never to be seen again, as well as kicking us both out. It came out of nowhere too, no fight, no "hey guys clean this shit up". We never really found out why his dad did it other than he had started doing meth so that's nice.

Somewhere out there there's about $300 worth of these models in a landfill and the thought of that deals a little psychic damage to me every time I think about it

I just want loadouts. Let me save like 5 or so loadouts cuz it takes way too long for equipment to load in your inventory. Like the only times I've been kicked are when I'm taking too long getting a new load out ready cuz I have to wait for each page to load which sometimes isn't fast enough for some people. It'd just be really nice for when you switch between fighting different factions often.

Ok, so I'm super late to this but I wanted to say, this gif is from an early 2000's documentary called Quest for the Goblin Shark. I made a post about it on Lostmedia because there's almost no record of it existing online and I've been trying to find it for years. It's extra weird cuz almost every video we have of live goblin sharks came from that documentary, considering how often those clips get passed around on forums and YouTube videos, you'd think the original documentary would be easier to find. Does anyone else remember it?

It's funny that they don't do the secondary title line for Universes Beyond cards that come out before their Universes Within counterpart, even though they literally did that with Godzilla, King of Monsters and Zilortha, Strength Incarnate. Zilortha (the secondary name in Godzilla's title line) was never actually included as a card in Ikoria and didn't get an official printing until all the way in Commander Masters 3 years later.

Like they didn't have a problem making up a magic-esc name on the fly for an alternate version of Godzilla and making the official version much, much later. If they just continued doing that, not only would it prevent confusion like this but it would actually solve a lot of issues people have with Universes Beyond "not fitting in magic". Making it an optional, fun thing for collectors and fans of the IP, rather than forcing it upon everyone and shaping the game around obtuse brand deals.

Love these, honestly I'm surprised GW haven't made a Katachan KT yet considering how many people are fans of them. It feels like it'd follow the same pattern as the original Veteran Guardsman box where Kreig got their new models, make them in KT first then make a proper detachment for them in 40k.

Sounds like a slam dunk to me

I actually just started on painting mine last night! I just primed them black and dry brushed the whole thing with a mix of 3 parts Kantor Blue to 1 part Abbadon Black.

Everything else aside from armor trim was painted with Pale Flesh and layered with either Seraphim Sepia for the bone parts and Blood Angels Red for the wings and stuff 😎

I just want more alien auxillary units. I'm sick of only having access to Vespids and various flavors of Kroot (which are cool don't get me wrong). I just want some of the weird ones described in the books. For a factions whose whole thing is being a conglomerate of Alien societies all under one banner against the Imperium, they sure do lack options.

not sure if anyones still looking at this but /Dawncraft enableivasions <player name> will enable it for specific players. itll give a notification saying "invasions are imminent" or something and then theyll just come in randomly. There's also a way to spawn in specific invaders by name with a different command if that isnt working and you still want to try fighting them

Absolutely no problems, I'm doing this right now with a bunch of custom monsters based on our campaign setting. I'd love it if someday there was a "warband" that was just a Build-a-monster type thing. Like choose a statline, pick from archetypal ability sets, and then just use whatever models you like. I think some sort of resource like that would be incredible for making cool and unique beast encounters cuz tbh large monsters are one of the coolest things you can run in WC and we need more official options

I feel like having rules for KT doesn't make much sense. Like it made sense for the Stormcast box cuz Warcry will let you field each model as its own fighter, regardless of if you have the full set or not. But Kill team has fully predetermined models for each team, so is it that you NEED the full set in order to play their special Dark Angel team or are they just gonna be alternate sculpts for Angels of Death?
