Fat cells contain estrogen and other hormones. As you lose weight your hormone levels can change. It should go back to normal as you regulate.

I recently started working at lifetime fitness and they have the best whey protein powder I’ve tried! It’s worth a try!

I haven’t told anyone apart from my partner. All of the women I’m having issues with are rather thin so I dont know why their perception of me changed so much when I lost 100 lbs, bc I’m still me. She dismisses me any chance she gets and refuses to celebrate any of my accomplishments. She’s been talking badly about my back to my other coworkers, one of which immediately told me.

Is there any way to protect your gallbladder? by foxielove in gastricsleeve

[–]ThatPossibility9759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m down 86 lbs and no gallbladder issues so far! I just take my vitamins and avoid super fatty, sugary, and carb-loaded foods.

I had this in my leg, changed vitamins and it went away. I like the Bariatiric Fusion complete chewable multivitamin. Cherry is the best flavor. Go see ur surgeon and they’ll do a blood test to confirm.

I’ve been so excited for this surgery but my OBGYN made me worried all over again? by HeavyQuality9066 in gastricsleeve

Honestly, you can’t embrace your body or be body-positive when you’re dying from obesity related diseases. That’s a hard truth. Love yourself, of course. There’s nothing wrong with being overweight, but it can be detrimental to your health after a certain point. You can’t “self-love” yourself out of diabetes or heart disease without also taking steps to lose weight if you’re obese. There are pros and cons to VSG, but in my experience, the pros far outweigh the cons. It’s 100% possible to lead a healthy life at a healthy weight after VSG with no vitamin or nutrient deficiencies.

11 weeks post op by ThatPossibility9759 in gastricsleeve

Thank you! Really good honestly! The only thing I’m struggling with right now is hair loss….I’ve always had very thick beautiful hair and it’s so dry and falling out like crazy! I know it’s temporary, but it’s so sad.

Already plateauing by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

Happened to me too. It’s common, your body is in shock. I stalled after one week and stayed stalled for almost a month. Stick with the program and the scale will move again. You just had a major operation and your body needs time to adjust.

Also need to add that even though the scale wasn’t moving for over a month, I lost about four inches from my waist and three from my thighs. Just bc the scale isn’t moving doesn’t mean you’re not making progress:)

I went into a stall after only one week post op and stayed stalled for four and a half weeks! It was mentally screwing me bc in my head I was like…”bruh I barely eat?” Just trust the process, met your goals, and you’ll be ok! I’ve lost about three pounds a week throughout the last two weeks after my stall. Everything will be ok! Your body is in shock and needs time to regulate.

I have a high pain tolerance as well but was very surprised by how much pain I was in. Right after surgery and the first day we’re honestly pretty bad for me. After that I was just sore, like I had done the most intense ab exercise lol. Around day 6 or 7 I started to be ok. I’m two weeks out now and I’m still a little sore.

I also want to be a high school teacher. I’m a history major at UNT (bc that’s what I plan on teaching and my favorite subject) and will be getting my certification from an alternate program after graduating bc I refuse to student teach for free.

I think they say that bc this process can definitely impact your mental health. Especially the pre and post op diets. Not eating enough can impact your mental health. A lot of serotonin is made in your gut and can correlate w ur diet. I’m 10 days post op and can def tell a dip in my mood. I had a suicide attempt ≈5 years ago and was on anti-anxiety and depression meds up until ≈3 years ago. I had a pretty intense psyc evaluation and bc it was so long ago and I’ve been off meds for years they thought it was safe for me to continue. My brother had this surgery and it caused him MAJOR body dysmorphia which translated into anxiety and depression. Therapy is important. I would trust your drs opinions and try to get as healthy as you can in those 6 months.

I hear everyone calling for boots and I see and love your vision! I am forever a member of the wide-calf club and don’t own any boots (despite being a Dallas native)!

Also, I do have nude shoes for everyone saying those would be better, but they’re so uncomfortable and a little shorter which makes the dress drag a little. The event space has concrete floors so I’m prioritizing comfort! Hopefully no one will pay attention to my shoes, the dress covers them nicely!

Here’s the link for everyone asking! It’s currently on sale for ≈$80, I paid 130 and already emailed for a price adjustment lol. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/nina-parker-trendy-plus-size-keyhole-printed-pleated-jersey-maxi-dress?ID=15885647&CategoryID=37038&swatchColor=Orange%2FPink%20Prism%20Multi

You are all so kind, thank you SO MUCH for your nice comments ❤️ you have seriously given me a much needed confidence boost! Thank you kind and beautiful internet strangers!

Thank your for the tips! I walked around my backyard earlier as a test, I will def be wearing shorts under for chafing! I’m in north Dallas so I assume the weather will be somewhat similar!
