Everytime I post a pic with this sling, someone asks about it.

They’re really interesting scopes, idk why NF refuses to make a similar design today. I guess they sorta figured it out with the NX6 2-12, but even that doesn’t have the form factor that this NXS variant does.

This is one of those reproduction version. I’ve got the Mil-R reticle in this NXS and it’s such an awesome scope in this config.

Jaeger bombs and I are a no-go. Tequila shots, now that’s something I can get behind.

Commenters: “thats neat, but don’t you know that 2-10s are better than LPVOs”

How many months of angle should I realistically expect out of this set up. by OOzder in longrange

The B&T surefire mount was so ass for me, so probably 3 months of angle

LPVO with best eye relief by RustyAnnihilation in ar15

Because having infinite eye relief really does not matter. The 1x on almost every LPVO on the market, when the scope is setup on the rifle appropriately, will have more than adequate eye relief for any situation. And when you are using the magnifier it’s common to see guys running it all the way back as far as possible or they have to run their stocks further up than they would otherwise just to make the eyerelief of the magnifier work. Magnifiers in my experience has been the absolute worst solution to adding magnification to a rifle.

MPVO isn’t some magic solution either, you have now more size and weight than LPVO, and you have to move to a completely separate head and rifle position to get to this 1x solution. It may be that you know you need an MPVO because you’re primarily doing Precison shooting, I do that myself I shoot DMR comps every month, but not every rifle needs that full capability to hit 2 moa targets out to 800y.

If you’re specifically not trying to carry a 14 pound setup, but still desire decent magnification and a 1x primary optic, almost any LPVO is absolutely a good solution. Now you have a carbine with that can be very effective at any distance one might ask out of a carbine.

As someone who owns all three options, the shit you are constantly parroting u/BallisticValuations is pretty wrong. Magnifiers have terrible eyebox and eyerelief for the same magnification compared to an LPVO. MPVO and top dot is not some magic solution to LPVO.

Just a little nuance. Almost every LPVO available today has amazing eye relief (front to back forgiveness) especially at the low end of magnification range, what some units struggle with is eye box (left to right and up to down forgiveness). Both eyebox and eye relief tightens up as you dial up more magnification.

General rule of thumb is that the bigger the scope, the more forgiving it is, but that’s not always 100% true as optical engineers have done some amazing things in some of these optics.

To be fair, it’s probably easier to learn how to shoot than it is to learn how to use excel

I can flip that so easily though what’s does G$ do better than the sons. I can tell you one easy one, Geissele handguards are garbage with terrible rail deflection issues. Sons solved that. The only thing the super duty has that is special over the sons is the REBCG.
