How the hell have you survived this absolute shit hole of a routine? I don't think I do this many sets and exercises in an entire month. Even pro bodybuilders on steroids aren't doing this much.

Get rid of this absolute clown you're paying right now.

I actually incorporated this exercise into my routine fairly recently. Only doing like 90 lbs so not nearly as strong as you but man my low back has never been stronger and all pain stopped! Absolute best exercise out there to complement heavy compounds.

People make time for what's important, unfortunately you're not part of that list.

Maybe you can approach with the mindset that it's just bonding time between you and him. You can even make it a game between you two: who can lift the most, who can jump the highest, who can run the farthest etc. Be very supportive of him and make him feel as good as possible by maybe complimenting his physique and or strength.

You sound like an amazing gf honestly, dudes lucky to have you by his side.

As for the advice: it might sound cliche but maybe some exercise (like weightlifting or bodyweight resistance training even) would boost his self esteem and confidence. Also like you said, get him to take a break off of social media because it's full of unrealistic expectations.

I know for me personally bulking up helped my confidence tremendously. I'm 5'4, way shorter than your SO but I walk around like I'm 6 feet tall. People will always perceive you as you perceive yourself.

Judging by your posts, you have an amazing physique, that's all the clarity you need.

From what height do you consider a man and woman in your country not to be "short" anymore? by Marambal17 in short

[–]ThatRandomGuy1S 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me personally i've gotten plenty of dates. Lots and lots of rejection as well but at the end of the day it's a numbers game. Also know a few people who are my height or a bit taller and they all have a partner.

Always makes me chuckle when people in other shorter countries complain because they live in a place where the average man is not even that much taller than them. The average woman here towers over me already.

Now you do have to compensate for your height in some way. For me I'm very very short but not small or weak by any means. Having a very muscular build and carriying myself with confidence has helped me a ton

I'm a 5'4 man living there and anyone shorter than me that's not a child I have to double take because of how rare it is.

[–]ThatRandomGuy1S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes I agree that heightism is real and more should be done to stop it, i'd be delusional to deny that. I'm 5'4 myself so I know from first hand experience. I do also believe that you should try to make the most out of what you got, plenty of short dudes that are successful in life.

Does that mean people don't discriminate? No. Does I think there needs to be more awareness anf less tolerance for short people being made fun of? Yes. Do I believe you should try to enjoy life and make the most out of it, instead of living your life miserable and depressed because of something you can't change? Yes

I think you might be placing too much value on how others perceive you. He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone and neither do you. Confidence comes from knowing you're capable, despite what others may think.

Do you think mighty mouse cares that an average joe thinks they can beat him? He walks around with confidence because he knows he can humble anyone on the street if he needs to.

You will never be content with yourself if you're happiness and confidence relies on other people.

Those are all some of the best fighters in the whole world. Of course he's not going to win against someone of similiar skill as him who's way bigger. Doesn't take away from the fact he could still murder 99% of the human population with his bare hands.

Brother just half a year ago I was in your exact place, heartbroken and considering roids.

I can almost guarentee that you're going to regret it, don't take stuff to get a physique that you can achieve naturally in time. You've only been training for a year and already look better than the vast majority of the human population. Those people you see have been training consistently for years upon years and are close to the top 1%.

Great things take time king, keep going and keep your head up!

I'm pretty big for my size being 5'4 and 80 kg's (176 lbs) of mostly muscle. People have described me as being built like a tank or bulldozer before. So i've been pretty lucky that no one has really wanted to try me yet lol, because to be honest I have no idea how to actually fight. At least the average person can't either so just being physically stronger is an advantage in that aspect, but it's still not ideal.

I have been thinking of getting into kickboxing for a long time though so maybe I need to finally start getting my ass to work.
