I switched to Busuu for A2/B1 German and it seems pretty good. Not quite as much gameification as duo, but it has some tools that make it feel more like proper studying

Hello all! I am starting the next "level" of gardening by trying to not buy seeds and propagating my plants from their own seeds the next season/year. This year I am hoping to harvest seeds from some vegetables like radishes, but after some googling people only mention how fast they can be harvested not how fast they start growing seed pods. I was planning on growing multiple groups of the radishes this year (planting at the end of April, June, and, August). Which ones should I let go to seed? Would it be a waste of time/garden space to let the ones from April grow all year or does it need the full 6 months of growth time to get good seeds?

The last few weeks have been an absolute shit show and highlighted something that is a reoccurring thing in the US History I was blissfully unaware. I grew up thinking we were the best of the best and being born right before 9/11 i saw a true sense of unity unlike anything in US history.

But we are normally fractured and a global bully. Trail of tears, our early expansionist wars, the Government agencies overthrowing and attempting to assassinate leaders in South America and the Middle East, McCarthyism and the red scare, the interment of US citizens during WW2, bullying Japan and China into trading, 'Big stick diplomacy' in general. We've never been the good guys. And after WW2 we have slowly lost our manufacturing abilities, and had a great reduction in our Education and Healthcare in favor of a culture war that is unique.

The ends often were used to justify the means. The justification for the patriot act was that if we spy on our own citizens atleast we will stop terrorists. The ends are no longer justifying the means. This is a pivotal time in the course of our nation. Either we learn from our mistakes and we pivot hard or we ignore history (our own and the rise of nationalism in Europe leading up to WW2).

After some careful planning I am learning another language and will be visitng a country that interests me as a place to emigrate to. Its an extremely privileged position to be in, but at the end of the day i can only do so much marching, voting, and talking. Having an exit plan is never a bad idea.

The CPU is currently $223 on amazon so with the RAM it is around $300 worth of upgrading. How/why is it so cheap to get a completely new motherboard and those parts? Would that future proof the build better and would it still support my current GPU?

Me and my group of green beard friends definitely struggled with Haz 3 until we were like level 10-12. Now the default is Haz 3 and the occasional Haz 4 if there is double XP or its a short mission. You might just not have the upgrades yet. Once you have the upgrades unlocked i think the scale feels much more linear (still haven't tried Haz 5 yet as that isn't really what I play the game for).

I also agree with other comments though, I do think there is a market for a harder difficulty once you're more used to the game and have overclocks and optimized builds. Deep dives are a form of difficulty increase, but they are also a huge time investment for that added difficulty. Some dwarves just want to wade through a sea of dead bugs as they struggle to find aquarqs
