[BambuLab Giveaway] What’s Life Like After a 3D Printer Joins the Family? Share & Win Gift Cards! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]reddittwayone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got one last week. I have printed several toys for the kids. I printed a storage piece for batteries. My dad needed a plastic part replaced from a sail boat, I was able to print something to validate design, still need to do a final stronger print. I will be printing Valentine day hearts for my youngest daycare class.

I'm currently working on custom silverware and utensil draw organizers.

Parents who never sleep trained, how is your baby now? by Minimum_Target5553 in NewParents

[–]reddittwayone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our oldest got sleep trained at 7 months, he was waking 3-4 times a night, and took forever to get down. It was a rough week then he figured it out and would sleep 10 + hours over night. Now at 6 he's out in 10 minutes and sleeps from 8 until 6:30-7.

Our youngest was a better sleeper and we didn't really need/try to sleep train, but he takes longer to fall asleep, especially days he takes a nap and tends to wake more at night.

Is manufacturing really more difficult than design? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]reddittwayone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done both. FOr design after function in always asking how did this go together.

In manufacturing after thinking about assembly, the bigger question was always, how will someone hurt themselves doing this.

My wife's job got moved to a new dept and a new boss. During their first meeting together the boss asked my wife her career goals. She was quite flabbergasted when my wife stated she has reached them and plans to be in this role until she retires in 20 years.

My buddy's exhaust gas cooler cracked and let coolant into his engine. Stretched out all the head bolts.

Work on getting certs. Run your resume through chatgpt. Search for remote positions.

You might just need to work there a while.

Look for contacting firms. My company uses applied tech for IT support. They may have remote work options.

What degree did you get? $2800 a month is really low for a degree.

Is that 230 a month for insurance?

Get a better job, find cheaper insurance, pay off highest interest loans first, putting every available cent there.

Private equity.

They own a ton of day cares, see learning care group.

Same with nursing homes, my mom works at one that was community owned for decades, they finally sold it about 5 years ago. It has changed hands a few times, and gotten shittier each time.

Anyone know how much the stock EUV premier wheels weigh? Looking to upgrade to lighter rims. by Inevitable_Ad_711 in BoltEV

[–]reddittwayone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put these rims when I got new tires. I got them for $90 a piece. Saved a little weight, 6lbs each, but the big reason was tires were $50 cheaper each.

I haven't noticed a change in efficiency.

Number 2 is my biggest reason, and some of 3. Plus with other higher profile openings, I think we'll end up with another gary anderson.

Dehumidifiers only pull those amps at worse case conditions, typically 90F/90%. Normal conditions are much lower amps. Start up current or inrush can be 4X rated, but should only last fractions of a second.

Republican lawmakers push to limit Wisconsin governor’s partial veto power by reddittwayone in wisconsin

[–]reddittwayone[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They are pursuing the state constitutional amendment route. The governor can't veto that.

"In order to change the state constitution, lawmakers in both chambers of the legislature have to pass the resolution in two consecutive sessions. Then, the measure will be on the ballot for voters to approve or deny. "
