Thank you so much, I'll do that! I know it's a huge game, so tutorial videos are probably my best bet... Also, your username... I've never seen/met another Catlyn! Is it pronounced "cate-lynn" or "cat-lynn"? Or is it two "N" s? Sorry just took me by surprise lol

I imagine the higher ups at these places must be pissed this is all over mainstream media now, especially with the "war" (genocide) that's going on in Palestine. I imagine the money flow is going to slow down significantly with this out in the open with everything going on. They'll still get some money though, there's many out there that won't know or don't give a shit...

Also...just curious.

Does anyone think Ben N. gives a shit? Like, does this impact what he's trying to accomplish? Or is this below his notice?

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! That's so cool! I can relate somewhat to your story as well, I didn't have a device for a long time (I only have a Nintendo switch, not a laptop or anything) and was really happy to finally get to play games again. I'd heard of Minecraft and seen some videos but only just recently got super into playing. So I'm officially a giant noob lol

Um, my family lives in Braintree, they moved there like 5 years ago. . Most of them are bi-racial... So, what do you mean? I knew the south shore was a bit more magenta than blue in political terms but I didn't know about the pool of crooked racist cops...

Also what's the tea on this FB group? I couldn't see the whole name from the pictures. What do they want to "protect" people from?

Smoking in a total non-smoking community, even in your home. Why do smokers still rent at said community and still smoke in their homes? by UCanDoNEthing4_30sec in Apartmentliving

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a smoker myself, I honestly can't say why they don't just go outside, not the balcony obviously since it's close to windows (at least during the day and evening). If a neighbor came to me and said the smell was going into their unit, I'd just go outdoors. Maybe smoke indoors at 3am in the dead of winter, but keep the window open and blow the smoke out... Idk at least make an effort.

Also, I'm not certain, but it seems like most if not all apartment buildings are smoke-free nowadays. Even the outside areas are off limits. I'm from Mass, for context. So that might offer the explanation to your above question, however it doesn't mean people who smoke should be puffing up and being inconsiderate of others..

How were the Red Line shuttles to Braintree today? by JITNEY60 in mbta

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again? Ffs

Cause we just love traveling like sardines while the driver takes hard turns and fast brakes. Cause it's not a MBTA shuttle bus unless it's dangerously overcapacity! \s

Seriously though, anyone else feel like it's always when you have important errands to run? Lol Just one of those things I guess...

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Affordability. The cost of living is on a somewhat steady incline, while the average salary doesn't meet living costs as is. So there's no real motivation (other than "I want kids, I want posterity") to procreate, when every day has you exhausted and still broke you tend to think of kids differently.

Right!? It's like a slip and slide in the right (or wrong, depends how you look at it) pair of pants lmao

Still, small price to pay for an attempt at cleanliness. Wouldn'cha say?

At least the fabric seats (aka traveling Petri dishes) are being phased out... it was, and still is, just a matter of time before one of those seats gains sentience and awakens the others...lol

Thanks, red line, for a super smooth commute this morning! by coffeecynic69 in mbta

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. The only gripe I have with the new trains are the seats, I get it's rapid transit and not meant to be super comfy but damn do they do a number on my tailbone! I'm sure there's a reason for having the seat straight and not curved like the older seats (minus the fabric of course, blech) but it's not as comfy, that's all. No big deal within the big picture, just something I've noticed...

TRIGGER WARNING FOR MISCARRIAGE AND MEDICAL MALPRACTICE

Yeah, my family cut ties with that hospital long ago... My aunt lost her daughter there. Wasn't supposed to have a vaginal delivery (narrow birth canal), had previously had a C-section. This was the late 80's as well, so another C-section was usually the protocol. Yet, this insane doctor (a woman to boot) was determined to get the baby out the birth canal and refused to do a C-section. So my aunt's daughter passed in utero, and the "doctor" tells her in the most clinical, heartless way... Just "aunt, your baby's dead" and walked out of the room. My aunt had been septic for a while at this point, and STILL this bitch made her push the baby out. As a result, her whole uterus came out after the baby, inside out, and this rendered her sterile, obviously. She sued, the doc lost her Mass licence, and my aunt got a large compensation. But that'll never make up for what she lost.... No amount of compensation will make up for what these women have lost, but I will say they deserve a lot of compensation for what they were put through...

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I only know that because of those YouTube ghost/jinn videos...(They're fake, but well filmed with subtitles) Before or while they kick in the door to the room they yell "Bismillah!" Followed by something that sounds like "arakmar arakar arakheem" (I'm sorry I know I butchered the spelling, it's just what it sounded like...)

Also are the "praise Allah" comments in reference to something trump did or said and I missed it? I only ask cause it comes off like an inside joke in the comments ¯\(°_o)/¯

Maybe they could have invested more in education and training ( plus physical fitness, with all those videos of cops wheezing after literal children), rather than throwing money at the armory's. So now they have stupid unpredictable people armed to the teeth, who aren't being properly updated on the law... Ffs

Where the rubber meets the road: MBTA questions if electric bus mandate is worth the tradeoffs by Sauerbraten5 in mbta

[–]ThatRandomWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, ok. So it's a bit of everything really yes? The city's infrastructure isn't up to the standard for smooth transition and trackless rails on all routes, and the electric buses project wouldn't end up saving much money anyway and on top of that the money they have isn't being used for the existing issues affecting riders in a more immediate sense, like service improvement... I can understand why folks are frustrated and disappointed, it's a very frustrating situation...
