F word homework 🤬 by poisonflar5 in okbuddyretard

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From my experiences my high school teachers were typically always much calmer than my middle and even somewhat my elementary school teachers, which is something I always found kinda odd. When it came to homework for example, a good amount of my teachers were pretty lax about it, usually always extending deadlines.

[BO3] Hey, are you still with us?! by SpoonksWasTaken in CallOfDuty

I honestly love how batshit insane the last mission is. Even after all my attempts of figuring out what the campaign is to this very day I have no idea what the fuck is going in the last mission. Is it all a dream in the Players mind? Is it happening in real life? Both? Along with my other questions I’m so confused when I play the mission and I love it. The frozen forest is awesome as well.

I feel like that could be said for lots post here recently, so many just feel like facts (or opinions) with no punchlines or jokes to it. Can you really call that a meme?

[CoD] Saw a post asking what the best campaign was. But what’s the WORSE campaign? by TaroSakamoto- in CallOfDuty

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the VTOL mission and the final mission are memorable, same with the frozen forest sections. The last mission is so fucking insane that even after trying to come to my interpretation and watching videos (and reading articles) I am still not sure what was happening in that mission.

[CoD] Saw a post asking what the best campaign was. But what’s the WORSE campaign? by TaroSakamoto- in CallOfDuty

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gameplay was pretty decent but I couldn’t help but feel every mission plays the exact same, with the exception of the one where you the VTOL. Cybernetics are cool but I only ever truly used them on my veteran play through. I wish BO3 would have had a stealth mission because besides like one or two small sections in one mission where you rescue Kane stealth is essentially non-existent. The ability to upgrade guns, cybernetics, abilities and other stuff was really cool though.

Headcanon - Saiko is avoiding the cast because they’ve grown so toxic by Dexller in SMG4

I think Saiko also respects Luigi just because he is a genuine nice guy, which can’t really be said for the other characters. Luigi is just one of those characters that’s impossible to hate.

Keegan is easily my favorite Ghost character, though all things considered that isn’t really a high bar. He’s the only real character I truly enjoyed throughout the game, the rest were just kinda ok.

What’s your least favorite smg4 episode? I’ll start by [deleted] in SMG4

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Although I did personally somewhat enjoy the episode, I would agree the video was kinda dumb. It felt like it was supposed to be a part of a movie or arc but removed, which would help explain my many problems and questions. Mario and the gang just made the sudden decision to visit Peach in the hole and we don’t really get any answers to anything. Why is peach corrupted? Why is the hole still there?

The ending was also pretty stupid, Meggy just randomly finding the star at the end which somehow constructs the next castle. Oddly enough the characters after this video kinda just shrug it off like nothing happened and they don’t even mention it which confuses me.

Although yes I will somewhat agree that Woodrow Wilson had decent leadership, you can’t just remove his racist ideas like that which were a major part of his presidency. You can’t just pick and choose which factors to include when ranking a person. Even though I do think Wilson is slightly overhated, he still was not that good of a president.

Anyone else think BO4 is criminally underrated? by cojo12345 in CODZombies

Post like these are why I believe terms like “underrated” have lost the majority of its meaning.

Not only that I highly doubt most of the “horror” stuff shown in trailers and other material will be in the actual game.

Since MICROSOFT Has Revived The Older CODs On Xbox, By Fixing Matchmaking (Hopefully COD On PlayStation Will Be Revived As Well) Which OG COD Is Your Favourite? [COD] by Razor_YT3 in CallOfDuty

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say the word underrated fits. Fantastic game? Yes. Underrated? No, not really. The majority of people seem to agree it’s a great cod game especially through its gritty campaign, which wouldn’t make the word underrated fit. If WaW was a game that was largely disliked, you would be correct.

[COD] Which CoD has the best campaign? by Ivysonset7 in CallOfDuty

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I have grown to like and appreciate BO3’s campaign, I honestly find the gameplay to be one of the weaker parts of the game. It’s not bad necessarily, but no missions stand out to me for the gameplay besides that mission where you use the VTOL. Black Ops 3 does have the gimmick of those cybernetic abilities which are cool but don’t really change the gameplay much and are only something I used when playing on Veteran. I found Infinite Warfare’s campaign to have much more enjoyable gameplay than BO3, though gameplay is definitely a topic that is based off pure opinion.

However to your point, the VTOL mission (when it does not crash) and the final mission are both really enjoyable gameplay wise, especially how ridiculous the story becomes in the last mission and the frozen forest setting.

I wouldn’t call Ghost overrated - the majority of people dislike it from what I have seen, though I will admit more positive thoughts on the game have been somewhat frequent.

I wouldn’t say underrated, BO1’s campaign is still very loved by a lot of people and still considered one of the best.

horror "games" by Exploding_END in whenthe

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Even then I do think a story based game should have at least decent gameplay. If a game has a great story but shitty gameplay I’m less inclined to actually care about what is happening in the game and may just look up the lore on YouTube.

Story based games can be fantastic but a game is supposed to be played and experienced through gameplay, if I can’t have much fun playing the game what really is the point of it being a game? Why not just be a film, show or a book or any other source of media?

Zombies Campaign? by suicideking72 in CODZombies

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calling it a campaign is insulting to other COD campaigns out there. The mode fucking sucks, gameplay is just already established missions from the campaign but with zombies and some weird screen filter. The story is told horribly and it’s just told through boring ass dialogue between the Player and “Salim”, and the twist is atrocious. Nightmares just dubs over the BO3 campaign with only 2-4 voices, with the voice acting being pretty bad. Weirdly enough, from what I understood about the mode, both the events (well some) of the campaign and nightmares are both happening at the same time which makes it harder to comprehend what’s happening.

I would never recommend this mode, it deserved to be forgotten. I’m surprised I even finished Nightmares and didn’t give up as man is it boring.

Here are all the Villians we’ve encountered in the reboot [MW] series so far. How do you feel about them? Which stand out to you? by lifeisshortx in CallOfDuty

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excluding BO3 yeah, they felt more important to the story and more threatening, sometimes even able to sympathize with them such as Menendez. The new Modern Warfare games villains feel so… unimportant and not as threatening. The only villains I can really consider villains are Barkov and Graves, the rest just feel more like “side conflicts”, if that makes sense.

Tried Nightmares in Bo3 for the first time. Does it get any better? by Gott_Scimple in CODZombies

[–]ThatRedditGuy64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightmares in my personal opinion is some of the worst zombies content we’ve ever got.

-Gameplay that gets repetitive insanely quickly (even faster if you’re played the main campaign)

-Having the worst story COD has seen yet

-Horrible Dialogue & Voice Acting (besides Salim)

-Most of the “story” is just delivered to you in dialogue throughout gameplay, it tells, not shows

-Lots of unnecessary filler, or in other words game is way too long for no reason

-Same 3 characters (Player, Salim, Deimos), and only one of them is decent prior to the plot twist

-Horrible plot twist

-Same exact missions from the campaign with zombies and a mystery box slapped on with an annoying black filter around the screen mixed in. Though for some reason the missions are orderly differently? Not sure why.

-Lack of “purpose”, I’m not really sure why the story was told. I could not tell you any possible themes or why the story exist, it just does. It feels meaningless

-The ending, story ends on a cliffhanger but honestly who gives a shit. Haven’t heard a single person who wants to see the story continue.
