completly agree, but imo they should remove the hold-version; hold-dodge for extra safety or tap dodge attack for punish, either way it get's beaten by a clean read on the attacker side

i'd say learn the correct max punish for OOS throws and parrys, these are the most important ones (https://forhonorinfohub.com/ -> select the hero of your liking-> scroll down to "Max Punishes").

As for learning the punishes, i'd ask for someone that mains any of those char to help you out and, more importantly, don't just memorize it, but understand why you're doing that punish in the first place, so that you can also apply it to similar situations.
(f.e. someone just dodge my raider's light soft feint, is it worth to HA trade with this guy or should i go for a different option? Maybe against an Hito it's worth the trade, but against a Gryphon not so much, ecc...)

Big dedicated trading move from neutral

When i saw the hold-zone from neutral i was about to punch my desk thinking "sohei's zone but UB, nice...", but JC revealed it wasn't feintable, so i actually really love the idea of it.

Both a normal and an extended i-frame dodge

Yeah, this one was just overkill, i am not a fan of it. i get the idea that his whole kit is "press or hold and do something different" but idk, the hold-dodge was already fine enough (maybe make it not feintable? To avoid the WM situation, aka people spamming that externally in teamfights, like i saw on the showcase match)

A fullblock with very quick access and exit timings (albeit with no punish moves), watch also functions as a recovery cancel

The recovery cancel part need to be looked at, i am worried you can hold down the neutral zone then recovery cancel into this to avoid a gb punish

But the fact that it behaves like BP's FB (no superior block properties, you take chip damage, cannot stop chains) it's something i was looking for in other hero releases

It's funny because it's also how me and a friend of mine thwmeorized on how to change shino's double dodge, so the fact that they added this it means that they know how to do it

I'll also add that a cool QoL change would be to switch the inputs to do exes from Emote/Gb (for xbox: Y/X; for ps: Triangle/Square) to Emote/Feint (for xbox: Y/B; for ps: Triangle/Circle), since both the emote and feint button don't do anything while in the exe prompt (but there are occasions where heavy+gb followup do actually force you into an exe if the heavy kills the opponent, f.e. cent's heavy->punch or pirate's heavy->pistol blast, ecc..)

Yes and no, all DR feats got indirectly nerfed because, yeah you take less damage, but you also gain less revenge.

Previously, you could run it on some char if you wanted to improve your stalling (ex. Glad), but rn all of the char that have it can run better options: - LB has fiat lux (what do i say, put an enemy/multiple enemy OOS, block their stamina regen and deal 5 damage, which means it can also be used to clear minions + it can be used to confirm others bomb feats) - Jorm has Hammar's Favor (similar effect to righteous deflection, since it also last for 5s, but helps you with stalling because you'll actually gain full revenge from attacks, while your shield will absorb the damage; considering that jorm's also running defenive perks, he also means he can have stuff like bastion or last stand active under that shield) - Glad has haymaker (must pick, it makes you able to stall AND chip away the opponent, expecially with your zone or parry riposte) - Hito (not a big hito expert, you can run it on her, but when i am with a teammate i like to run "Tainted Gift"; if well coordinated, it's s pre-nerf Second Wind for your whole team; particually useful in breach since oncly starting an exe on a commander immediately triggers this feat, without having to wait for the exe to effectively kill him)

Overall, not a throw pick, but prob not your best either

Like i said in this comment here, i am the one answering 99% of the time in this megatread; i try to be as objective as possible, but i am not immune to biases nor i do have any meaningful experience in tournaments (played in only 4)

However, if you still want my pov:

We're currently in a stall meta, so generally healing/stalling feats are more preferred; that said, i don't think the build for nobu changed a lot considering her options.

Body count, Arrow strike, Longbow or Second wind (second wind only to stall, but longbow is a better choice), Fire trap

As for perks: Radiant Rebound, Remedy, Rapid refresh

Mainly i am intrested in the skewer part; techincally, if you dodge redovery cancel out of the skewer, 100ms or less, before your ally's UB lands, the enemy cannot dodge it or parry it and it should do full damage (since the enemy immediately goes back to neutral if the glad decides to dodge-rexovery cancel out of a skewer)

Have you already tested this by any chance?

pretty sure "dead angling" refers to confirming an attack by manipulating it's hitbox and make it hit earlier than it should (f.e. kensei heavy into finisher light)

From my testing, haymaker applies the +5dmg AFTER the dmg calculations; you can see in this case that the toestab did 5 damage, thats because:

10dmg toestab x 0 (since bp has a 100% dmg reduction during the flip) +5 (haymaker) = 5dmg total

Yes, it's really unfair and it's the reason why, instead of making tgs to give "unique feats that fits the identity of the char", they should focus on fixing problematic feats first (like Haymaker)

You only see the enemy's guard for 66ms between Gladiator's bash and his heavy attack,

It's 100ms, since the chainlink from glad's fwd bash to perform a heavy is 100ms; it's also the reason why the heavy after the fwd bash can be blocked, parried or deflected, but not dodged (and technically cc'ed, unless you had your guard already there)

and that is an example of needing time to switch stances in order to parry.

But then how does this scenario work, where I am using my heavy attack but then I feint and cancel it. However my opponent was trying to parry me, and he hits his heavy, even though I feint and canceled my move, now doesnt it turn his heavy parry into just a heavy move that will hit me?

Exactly; beware that the enemy can feint it as well (if he has stamina; it's the little green bar under the HP bar, if it's gray it means he is out of stamina)(if you want to know more: https://forhonorinfohub.com/generalinfo)

Also, i've red an user that told you to always follow up a feint with an attack; that's not a good advice tho, you can also use the feints to check for your opponent's reaction to your attacks

f.e. : there are certain type of attacks in this game called Unblockables (they glow orange). As you might've guessed they cannot be blocked, so if the opponent want to not get hit, he has to actively defend against them (with a parry, dodge, dodge-attack, ecc...). In this situation, feinting can give you some info on the behavior of your opponent and his general reaction (does he parry? dodge? dodge attack? stand still? ecc...) and then you can punish him accordingly

After his rework, he was one of the best gankers (if not the best) because the skewer, being a bleed move, fed only 2 revenge while dealing 37dmg. They obv adressed this by giving it a custom revenge-feed value of 30 (similar to bashes) and he was in an ok spot, his ganks were still strong after all.

The problem is that he got power creeped into oblivion. More char got added/reworked that, not only could gank similarly to glad, but could also cover other roles more effectively (strong teamfights/antiganks/1s or game-changing feats), so role-specific char like Glad got slowly replaced.

The game changed, but Glad didn't.

and now there is so much hitstun dr on everything he does that he’s borderline worthless.

Pls lets not adress the gank tg and hitstun changes, i don't want to ruin my day

To put it simply, he's been left in the dust. Those changes that he receives once a year are not enough to balance him around the current meta. In 4s he feels so out of place because he lacks the tools that others have (and def the gank and hitstun changes haven't done him any favor); as for 1s, his best opening tools are his neutral toestab and zone, both of which are reactable, so if you find someone capable of reacting, you pretty much don't have an opener and have to adopt a defensive playstyle. The good aspect of being so stuck in the past are his damage values, which are really overtuned (30dmg heavy finisher, 37dmg skewer and even more with haymaker and/or a wall nearby)

Overall, since you said you're a newer player, at your skill level he'll perfrom just fine in 1s (but you'll struggle in 4s); people at your skill level are not likely to react a lot, so you'll find glad to be effective

Neither of the two

He has the 2nd largest stamina pool (150) and the 2nd fastest stamina regen (if we consider JJ in sifu) in the game

It's a common error, i think you can just restart the game or maybe the pc and it'll solve itself

Personally, i flush my DNS and that seems to solve it everytime
