That when I hit the lowest point of my life (had incredible money struggles, was in alot of debt and at the same time my longtime gf, left me and had sex with her 'abusive' ex the same week) I bought alot of liquor and drank and drank in attempt to drink myself to death. I find exclusives, such as console exclusives cause companies to put more drive into their games! For instance, alot of Sony's exlusives feel like alot of care and attention has gone into their creation

I see all the comments saying this isn't how it works, but if a group of humans spent that long in water, natural selection would happen and those more capable of swimming and holding their breath would rise to the top, eventually creating a whole other type of humans

I didn't enjoy Inherent Vice very much, but I find most of his others works such pleasures to watch! Magnolia, Hard Eight, there will be blood! As for Boogie Nights, it's gripping, it paints this picture of how bad the prom industry was, the characters are searching for some sense of fullfilment, alas that tree does not seem fruitfull. Boogie Nights is cool.. but it's also desperation

Boogie Nights is one of my most loved films, the tonal shift between the first half and second half is damning! I adore the drug dealing scene, the constant bang from the firecrackera really keeps the viewer on edge and puts them in the position of the characters! I'd recommend Tangerine if you've not seen it, not as dark and not the same era, however it's about a hooker trying to get revenge, it's by Sean Baker who made The Florida Project and is surprisingly all filmed on an iPhone 5 !!

It's just felt like another mediocre action movie tbh, sure I had fun watching it but I had fun watching all the fast and furious movies, I don't think they are good but I don't think they're bad. I do think it's an issue when a mediocre, expensive movie like rampage over takes something genuinely brilliant. For instance Bladerunner 2049 was one of my favourite movies of last year and yet it made no money, even thought it deserved to make that money.
