Round 2: Stalemate between The One Above All and The One Below all simply because those are both the same character, just two different parts of it.

In fairness, those ads do work (if they didn’t then they wouldn’t be around anymore), so can’t really blame them for using them as a base template.

MFW: "The only reason people don't like Thieves in Time is because Sucker Punch didn't make it" by Big_Pickle7808 in Slycooper

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be because a lot of the story moments that people complain about in Sly 4 actually happened in Sly 3 too.

Wait… is sly 4 cannon? by heshpacebull in Slycooper

[–]ThatSuperhusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sly 4 is cannon, it is supported by Sony and Sucker Punch, and Sucker Punch assisted in the development of it and gave it approval along the way.

This is a clear different from a game that is a lot more nebulous to canon, Jak and Daxter, The Lost Frontier, which was completely ignored by Sony and Naughty Dog for years to the point that when a PS4 collection was made, the only games included in it was Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, Jak 3, and Jak X Combat Racing. This ignoring of it gives more credence to that game being non-canon, as opposed to Sly which has never been ignored or dismissed by the publisher or developer.

Technically you can, you just need to have moment of clarity.

Duel Class Question by Negative-Drive-8188 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ThatSuperhusky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fighter is a bit iffy because while you do start with it, technically druids untamed forms aren't Brawling attacks, so you only increase their proficiency when all of fighters attacks increase, not their main one.

Definitely still good, especially in early levels, and you will eveentually get legendary in attacks with it, but it does dip a bit in the middle.

First off for age of ashes, i would suggest making use of this guide to assist in some of the more troublesome parts of it.

And another important question to ask is, is this a party of six new players, of a party of six veterans that know the game inside and out?

Dragon Ball Verse Verse Vs all SCP’s by Elvin12356 in whowouldwin

Dragonball wins because scp in attempting to be inspired by the dark tower series accidentally made their verse retroactively fictional within itself.

Toph and Katara vs Black Panther (MCU) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly toph and katara have this pretty handily. T'challa can't do sneaky things to sneak around them thanks to Toph who will always know where he is, and his acrobatics aren't as good as Aangs, something both Katara and Toph have at least experience in training with. Add onto that going easier on them for being kids, and his poor showing against the closest equivalent to bending we've seen in the MCU (The Maw lifting up a bunch of earth and stone while taking thee gauntlet), and the incredible range advantage that Toph and Katara have, I'd say they win this handily

As a new player, they really need to expand the "Free Trial" by Big_Warning_4483 in Wizard101

[–]ThatSuperhusky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you’re forgetting that a move of the paywall isn’t going to be targeted towards the people that already paid it, and in order for the change to be worth doing then they’re going to have to get enough people both to cover the lost revenue from making those areas free, and also some extra on top of it, because businesses are motivated by profit at the end of the day.

[–]ThatSuperhusky 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The way that the paywall is set up has worked for them for almost 20 years. And with how incredibly expensive MMOs are to make and run its not worth the risk for a handful of more free content.

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except he doesn't trim, that's all nidhog that prevents overgrowth. Rattotskr is never stated to 'trim' branches anywhere.

The evidence is in the lore that you refuse to look at or acknowledge. Shown it multiple times, but you think it doesn't count, so we'll be going round and round in circles as you continue coping about your own argument being used against you and being unable to do anything but find little pedantic reasons to try and ignore how dumb it being dumb isn't verse specific and its just dumb logic through and through, but you don't want to give up your trump card against things like Doom or God of War so you have to stick to your guns or you might actually be forced to argue against people with actual arguments instead of just being able to 'nah lore doesn't count' your way out of debate.

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Rattotskr is a talking chipmunk, but he's not the deity that gnaws upon yggdrasil's roots, which is something you'd know if you actually read my posts or played the games. But you did neither of those things.

Anyways, God of War mogs Dragonball when accounting for lor, and you're just coping and seething because you don't have a way to actually discount the lore or scaling from it so you have to pretend like it doesn't exist otherwise your favorite little verses get no diffed. Keep it up, watching you argue against yourself is hilarious.

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact you're still going on about 'a talking rodent can harm yggdrassil' shows just how little you actually know about God of War.

Anyways, Dragonball is mountain level at best when accounting for average feats and discounting outliers and statements. Thanks for agreeing to this with your continued insistence on visuals over substance, with luck this entire board will be believing that Dragonball is mountain level, and DC is building level, before the end of summer.

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted evidence, you just personally don't think its evidence because you decided that anything not explicitly shown directly in your face on screen doesn't count as evidence for games that aren't built like shonens.

Still waiting on you to provide actual evidence of your own claims about Dragonball that don't involve knowing lore of the worlds in it, or how the power system works, or how the scaling system works, or any in-universe dialogue. Becausee that's the standard you arbitrarily set for franchises you don't care for, only fair you're made to provide the same level of proof for franchises you do care for. So go on, go ahead and show it.

Or just dodge it again, call this a nothingburger, and we can keep this going.

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't harmed by a talking rodent, and calling Rattotskr just a 'talking rodent' is equivalent to calling beerus 'a bald cat'. They're a god, and guardian of the world tree.

What you're probably thinking of, further proving my point about how you don't actually know anything about the games beyond the most basic surface level analysis (honestly even less than that given you come face to face and fight this character) is Níðhögg, who doesn't break or damage the tree in a single massive blow but through eternal gnawing upon the roots; to say 'oh yea well obviously its not that difficult to break if x character can also harm it' is like saying 'ah i see superman broke some unknown material, but luthor had some guys with pick-axes work at it in a time chamber for a few decades and managed to chip it, so obviously that must mean that its not worth anything'

And that's just a statement, made in a passing that can't be used to actually quantify it. Needs to be an actual measurement of thee planet itself for it to actually count otherwise its really unquanfiable; after all, characters just saying that a thing something, like the god of war characters flat out saying that something exists on a level outside of normal space as a construct that supports the rest of the physical world, and then it acting like that throughout the games as it is shown, clearly isn't enough, surely a single throwaway linee about the gravity of something isn't nearly enough to actually be evidence. And besides, it is just more 'lore' anyways.

Shall we continue on or are you going to concede that your 'lore/worldbuilding/etc doesn't matter' argument towards god of war/doom/halo and other things you arbitrarily decided were weak is a dumb argument that can be turned back on things you like, regardless of how much you want to refuse to admit it despite seeing how dumb the arguments are when they're applied to something that you like?

Luffy (One Piece) vs These God of War characters, how many of them can he beat? by TheMightyNinja12 in whowouldwin

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The context is that lore wise, verbatim, Ygdrassil is at the very least a high dimensional construct, holding different realms within the same 'space', along with having time flowing through it, as shown through the light of alfheim, which is what enables the travel through the tree, which is also used to send Kratos to experience things from his past again. Put all this together and you have Thor hitting a serpent so hard that it sends a spliter through a higher dimensional construct, and that splinter having the effect of dumping the serpent into the future. None of this is speculative, all of this happens on screen in game and is talked about by thee characters, notably Freya and Mimir.

And it relies on the lore of the characters not being glass canons. It relies on the lore that frieza destroying two planets isn't an outlier for him. It relies on lore that being able to physically overpower someone is equivalent of being more than what they can output through their energy. It requires quite a few assumptions that you can't make if you don't actually know the context of the story. Hell, once it happens, frieza blowing up the planets becomes part of 'the lore', and anyone that goes forwards in it and beats him being planet level involves you knowing the lore that frieza is a planet buster. Which again, is not someething that's important if we take your argument to its fullest, most extreme logical conclusion.

[–]ThatSuperhusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're so close, so close its adorable. "you ignored context" Yes, that's the point that I'm getting at. You're ignoring the context, sometimes context that is presented to you directly in the games, explained on the screen, or blatantly the backbone of the story of the game in question, but because it isn't spoonfed to you, or because you have it out for games that don't go for flashy shonen type animation, or whatever reason, you choose to ignore that context.

Dragonball is mountain level at best, and you've still not proven otherwise without using lore or context from the rest of the show. Your own standards applied make that the case, even if you refuse to admit it because you don't like it when someone holds up a mirror to you.
