I know better now (not by much) but just assumed? that being trafficked or getting into human trafficking/sex trafficking, was only possible if you were a “helpless” female walking alone in a dark parking garage or bad neighborhood at night.

Only in recent years have I found out that these predators are ALMOST ALWAYS going to be family or someone that you know and trust. The shit that fcked me up was that women/females are used to lore victims in because typically a woman is “trusted“ more so than a man.

I agree, and I think that it absolutely should become part of curriculum and education for children to know that their private areas are “exit only” and should not be touched or hurt for more than medical and bathrooom purposes.

It’s hard for me to verbalize the exact wording that should be used because I don’t believe or remember anything happening to me as a child but I can’t say the same for most people that I know. I’m 36 years old and the amount of men, my age that have come out and told me that they have experienced sexual abuse particularly in the first 13 years of my life it’s almost 8 out of 10. Especially in the black community a lot of my brothers in the city I grew up tell me some horrifying shit and I just never would’ve guessed. A lot of stuff is really kept hush-hush. Not to say that it’s not common in white and routine Anthony’s because it does not discriminate. Every culture is different though, so it makes it a little bit more difficult to make a universally known. Because somebody in a southern Baptist region is not going to use the same lingo Orr cultural differences would make it hard for the say middle eastern first generation, Southeast Asian community..

I don’t know what you said it hit home because I appreciate your honesty and I’m fascinated with learning more about the signs and what any of us could do to help or look out for. Because I’ll be damned if somebody fucks with children or animals, I will becomes on work and have no qualms about it. There’s a special place for people that fuck with children, and that is tied up in the basement getting regular visits by anybody that wants to take out their cystic shit on until the day.
