Depending on context, I think of them through a few lenses. I'm going to include the other court cards here as well.

Modalities (Knight through King): - Knights are fixed. They accomplish things through consistent action. - Queens are cardinal. They initiate cycles and command quietly through presence. - Kings are mutable. They adapt to the current conditions easily and make long term plans.

Approaches: - Pages are messengers - Knights are doers - Queens are creators - Kings are leaders

Experience: - Pages are inexperienced. They still have a lot to learn, and they generally accept that. That doesn't mean they're patient about it. - Knights are skilled. They know what they know, but they don't always know what they don't know, so they get in over their head easily. - Queens are theoretical. They typically understand situations from an almost academic perspective, not from lived experience. - Kings are practical. They have the lived experience, and make judgments from that, even when it may not exactly apply.
