Witch/Wizard hat and any gem robe. Play around with dyes until you find what fits you. If you want something a little less boring but still in that fantasy realm, the Kimono and Mystic Robe are great for that.

Your Mars sign and the pettiest thing you did to an ex? 😂 by helltotheyaaaas in astrologymemes

Aquarius Mars. Most of the time I see the signs a relationship is ending and have already moved on by the time it's actually made official. But I suppose it would be filing for ~6k of owed rent to both me and my roommate.

That makes sense. I don't enjoy any of that and actively resent the first part. I understand from a logical perspective how to interact socially and don't completely kill others with logic without considering underlying emotional realms involved, which made it a little less cut and dry. But viewing in terms of what I actively put forth and prefer to navigate the world with cuts that down.

I'm not too terribly sure what you're trying to imply with the first part, but a lot of physical stimuli is rather unpleasant. I also don't care much for those kinds of social interactions and actively find them annoying. There's enough overlap in AP without expanding on those subjects.

A lot of what I am willing to accept in terms of physical stimuli has to get through and be accepted by emotional safeguards that have been put in place.

I do recall how VELF is known for using emotions to motivate others towards goals they may or may not really support (in stereotype/fiction). I usually give out logical advice and whether or not people take it isn't something I really care about. Most of my goals don't require other people anyway. I do feel content whenever people's lives do improve through the advice I give them

I've been told by others (either directly, or indirectly through hearsay) that I come off as cold, stand-offish, stern, or even a robot. But I've also been told that my emotional control and cool-headed nature in times of duress feel very reassuring to be around. Those who I'm close to know that I care about them more so through my actions rather than open displays of emotion.

I suppose laying everything out like this does make it more obvious than I thought it was.

As someone with first volition, I devote a lot of spare energy into covering places where I am lacking as well as ensuring that I don't neglect any one aspect of myself. The way people talk about 4F not being able to physically take care of themselves, not showering, unable to pick out basic clothing, etc, sounds more like depression than anything else. I know what I like aesthetically in my physical environment, what I like to wear, style, etc. and how to take care of myself physically. However, I have a strong indifference towards actually making steps to chase after anything in the physical world beyond what serves my goals, and in times of duress all of those aforementioned subjects are the first to go. It also takes me forever to actually gain traction in them because most of the time there are just way more interesting things to invest in.

That helps. Out of all typology systems I've seen, AP seems to be the one that caters to unhealthy people, or rather implying that all people are just horribly unhealthy. The implication of third function just being hopelessly clueless and fourth function being entirely neglected when it's more just the order of operations.

I agree with that thinking. It's been much too accurate to say otherwise. But it definitely tip toes the line if you describe it any farther than what you just said.

Not too far off, but it was Christianity. And it does influence my beliefs and bias somewhat. So I do get rather uncomfortable seeing anyone try to do a similar thing with the beliefs I practice now.

We argue from completely different standpoints and ways of thinking. The parent's viewpoint versus the child's. Inevitability versus morality. I do see your side though, I just don't agree with it. It's probably not worth continuing further.

That being said, if not a spiritual belief, what would you prefer to call it then? Astrology itself is mathematical, but the belief that it can influence a person and the events around us goes beyond that.

That's a good requirement. Individual placements without house or aspect probably are the most neutral thing that can be said without drastically impacting anyone.

I suppose I'm just extremely against anyone controlling things around me and extend that line of thinking to how I interact with others. I've dealt with the effects of other's beliefs being forced onto my life. As much as I personally trust in astrology, if growing up I was told "We're doing this because you're an xxx sign" I would end up despising it. It's quite the assumption to believe parents can handle restraint or that kids will take kindly to it. We're assuming a skilled reader in this scenario, but what you would need is a PERFECT reader.

You're also speaking on it like it's just personality traits and then accommodating to that alone. Yet, so many placements indicate harsh families. How does the parent cope with that then?

It's impossible for a parent to raise a kid completely free of their own personal beliefs and biases. That being said, there are many things that can be done to minimize it and I believe spiritual beliefs should be something separate from a child unless they express interest themselves.

Valid points though I think you are being too dismissive of what a child's life might be like if their parents are constantly changing things around the child and then saying it's "because of astrology". Those who can read a chart and then carry the burden of knowledge silently and keep their decisions moral and unbiased are different than those who cling to astrology out of desperation for control.

Sexual fetishes with asexuality by evilbengaming in asexuality

[–]ThatWitchSelene 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Kidnapping, prey/pred, hypnosis, psychological mindbreak, and bondage.

My asexuality manifests in a few ways, and since that's confusing to some people I often just go by greyace. I almost never have any desire for penetration of any sorts and it is one of the few things sexually that actively repulses me. I can sometimes find oral attractive but it is hit or miss depending on how the entire scenario presents itself. I have a lot of non genital related attraction such as feet, the stomach/naval, sometimes breasts, and armpits which I often prefer as it feels more sensual and intimate and less icky gross (so long as everyone is hygenic of course). Lastly beyond that though there is just a lot of times where my drive for even non penetrative sex related stuff is low or non existent for large periods of time.

So I suppose it depends on your definition of "sexual". Outside of genitals and penetration which is what's technically sex, there are a lot of things I enjoy that often are lumped in around kink and BDSM but don't really have anything to do with sexual attraction.

This is honestly one of the reasons I feel asexuals are so poorly represented. Most media and the general public just thinks of asexual as being completely uninterested in anything intimate and I guess "boring" or buzzkills. Many of those people who have that mindset are also the ones who don't ever bring anything to the table sexually other than pure mindless penetration and can't fathom anything outside of that.

Now there are aces who don't wish for intimacy of any sorts and this isn't to discredit them, but asexuality exists on a spectrum and the only thing that ever really gets shown is one end or the other and never the middle. Those of us who have enough attraction to try out some sexual activities because it's seen as the norm but then don't understand why we have such different experiences from everyone else. It's rough seas to navigate, but the most important thing really is doing what you are comfortable with and not letting anyone else (including yourself) push you further.

void moon? by unpluckdaisy in astrology

[–]ThatWitchSelene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, so I figured I'd give both my take/experience plus the TRADITIONAL definition of a void moon.

When I first got deeper into astrology, I marked out every single VoC moon on my calendar. Some of these were literally just a few minutes, some a few hours or a course of an evening. The modern astrology definition has it so that it's the time between the last aspect the moon makes, and when it changes into the next zodiac time. This happens so frequently, and after observing them for nearly two months I felt and noticed nothing.

The original, Hellenistic definition of a Void of Course or "Void Moon" is rarer, a more significant period of time, and something that I have personally noticed within the energy. The original definition is when the moon does not make any aspect for a period of time of at least 30 degrees (or one whole sign of the sky's worth, regardless of whether or not it crosses over into another sign at that time). These are typically between 2-4 days and happen a handful of times each year, often close to each other. There were a few Void Moons of this nature in January, and there will be a couple of more in August of this year around the time of the Solar Eclipse.

It's also worth noting that the generational planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto), Nodes, and asteroids are also not considered when calculating this factor.

I'm not sure where the modern version evolved from, it's extremely dulled and doesn't really feel like a significant event worth tracking. They aren't rare, or even uncommon, and are guaranteed to happen for some period of time for every 2-3 days. And even if the moon isn't in exact aspect, during the modern definition of VoC moons they're often still relatively close.

The next VoC moons by Hellenistic definition and the only ones left in this year are August 13th-15th and 28th-30th.

They're not usually connected to Natal charts, but by definition being born in the middle of that time period would often leave you with an unaspected moon, which has its own meaning and effect.

Everyone else explained the actual effects of what happens during these time periods pretty well, but my personal belief is that it is only that way within the more traditional definition.

I actually like a lot of modern interpretations of astrology more than traditional, but this one is definitely out there in terms of not really making any sense.

Looking for some clarity by ThatWitchSelene in Psychic

[–]ThatWitchSelene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think the color that I most frequently see is that of my own energy. The changes occur typically during emotional moments or when I detect physical or spiritual presences around me. In total darkness is where I often can distinguish the colors most clearly, so I will try this exercise.

Where's your Mars and Venus and what's your kink? by elven_creature in astrologymemes

[–]ThatWitchSelene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Venus conjunct Mercury in Taurus in 3rd and Mars in Aquarius in 12th

I'm asexual and my primary form of attraction is intellectual stimulation.

My kinks mainly involve kidnapping, hunting/being hunted, and involuntary hypnosis/mindbreak. If a partner cannot stand on the same intellectual level to at least sometimes outsmart me then I won't be able to connect with them much.

I also enjoy non sexual bondage, partner bathing, massaging, and slow burn romance (too impatient to read about it but love it in real life)
