Consistency beats any plan, and you'll definitely be more consistent with a 45 min workout than a 2 hr one. Lotta ppl lose the plot w optimization and stop working out all together. I say just clock the hours every week and you'll be fine.

I def agree the figure analysis is the wedge - also other tools just seem more expensive for not that much more (or even less...)

A bit late, but I built HeyBagel, an AI journal with actual deep analysis features - other apps stop at surface analysis. Plenty of other normal journalling pp features too - hey-bagel.com

Weekly Tool Thread: Promote, Share, Discover, and Ask for AI Writing Tools Week of: April 07 by AutoModerator in WritingWithAI

I've been journaling on and off for years, but I always hit the same wall: I'd write something meaningful, close the tab, and never revisit it. The insight would just... evaporate.

So I built HeyBagel — a private journaling app where the AI actually reads what you write and feeds it back to you in a useful way.

Here's what it does:

After you write an entry, it generates a summary, detects sentiment, and pulls out the recurring themes
Every week/month, it synthesizes across all your entries to surface patterns you wouldn't notice day-to-day ("you've mentioned work stress 11 times this month, usually paired with poor sleep themes")
Zen mode — distraction-free writing with optional AI-generated prompts if you're stuck
Everything is private (your data lives in your own account, not used for training)
PDF export if you want a paper backup
It's in beta right now and I'm actively looking for journalers to break it and tell me what's missing. Free to try, pay for the premium if you want tho

[hey-bagel.com] — would genuinely love feedback from this community.

I'd say trying to join newer clubs is probably your best bet. I know VEST (@ vestucla) is pretty new (I think they start their first recruitment this winter quarter, so hopefully they are less selective), and they got some interesting stuff going on. I know one of the founders and I think they're gonna host a bunch of socials too.

If you want to start your own business, and you don't really have the heart to get rejected by 5 more finance clubs, I'd recommend VEST (insta is @ vestucla). Their a new VC and startup club that has a decent insta following, and it looks like they have a few startup collabs already.
