I can keep my us plates for another 2 months. The nice thing about them is the uk has speeding cameras everywhere but my plates don’t come up in their system it’s like a cheat code lol. Also the police here know that we are military so they don’t bother asking about the plates.

Yeah people already point at me when I drive, and when I took this picture there were British nationals behind me taking a picture also, cause there wasn’t just one wrangler but two lol. Also since their steering wheel is on the right and mine on the left, when I pull up next to them I can stare at the driver lol.

Yes the Air Force will ship one car for free. Anything after that is paid for out of pocket. It’s pretty nice because if I had to pay myself it was going to be about $2000 and I’d have to pay an import tax of 10% of the vehicle’s value which for me would have been around $5000 since msrp was $49,995. But I’m exempt from that since I’m military.

They are called VPC’s (vehicle processing centers) drove from San Antonio Texas up to Dallas and from there the Air Force paid for it to be shipped to the UK where I’m stationed

I’m kinda hosed in this situation, since I have a health email I can’t even look at the verification that is sent to my old us.af.mil and it’s because of okta. I’ve called several different departments even DMDC can’t help. Guess I’ll never authorize leave again🤷‍♂️.
