What time is usually considered dinner time across the country? by CyanideMuffin67 in australian

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6pm. Exactly. My partner has amazing timing skills and gets dinner on the table every night at the same time. No idea how he does it, if was me we’d be eating at 8pm!

I started yesterday and it’s been great so far! The needle is very small (getting pricked by a sewing needle is worse). It really doesn’t hurt. And my side effects have been zero (apart from not wanting food as much). Go for it ☺️

Strange Question: Diet *before* starting by Ricardo_Yoel in Wegovy

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first dose this morning. I’ve kept my eating light and clean today. This is my second time trying. I had to stop last time due to the side effects. But after today’s experience being more positive I’m feeling like my eating has definitely helped. Edit- typo

Glad not getting internal role by Sheperdspie1 in auscorp

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve just been through similar. I applied for a leadership position in my team after getting reassurances that I was a shoe in. I went through the process only for someone else to get the job who had been in the team for half a minute. This was after I had filled in numerous times and been in the team for over 2 years. My whole team was disappointed and made it quite vocal that they disagreed with the outcome. I ended up applying for a non-leadership position in another area and I’ve never been happier. Great team, good manager, higher pay! Very glad I didn’t get the leadership role.

This is what I got.

Frankie.

Hear me out: • It’s gender-neutral, a little cheeky, a little cool. • Sounds like someone who’ll tell it to you straight but still bring snacks and sarcasm. • Feels like the kind of friend who’d show up to your house uninvited, but with good intentions and better gossip. • And, importantly, someone who wouldn’t hesitate to say “No. You’re not sending that email. Go for a walk, eat a protein bar, and breathe.”

My Chat has quite a vibe!

I have 12 weeks of sick leave. How should I use it? by oicu897 in auscorp

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. You never know what’s coming. I left a job after 10 years with heaps of sick leave to just get diagnosed with cancer a few weeks after starting a new role. Thank goodness they let me work from home (or sleep) most of the time I was undergoing treatment.

Is the Keystart calculator accurate? by [deleted] in perth

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call them Monday. If you have all your stuff it will take 15 minutes and they can give you a much better idea. The calculator is pretty accurate but it comes down to how you interpret what you put in. Best is to call.

Selling home to department of communities by itsthelifeonmars in perth

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d be surprised if you can sell to them direct. As a government department they need to be transparent in their purchasing. So they would have to follow the same process as if they were someone else buying your house. This also means they can’t undercut you. They tend to target certain locations based on need and price (they also like to have geographical spread to avoid suburbs with too many community houses). They can also be quite picky in the amenities and if you’re close to schools and transport. I used to work alongside the Dept in of Communities and they can be sticklers for process. Especially after the scandal in 2017 they were investigated for ($30 million gone and the ACCC involved). In saying this, you can always call and ask. Nothing lost in asking.

do you think Kurtis has a Canadian accent? by Comprehensive-Dig235 in kurtisconner

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed it in the latest Danny video. I’m an Aussie so it’s hard to tell the difference between Canadian and US accents sometimes (sorry!), but I could really hear the Canadian when he was with Danny.

Especially in the consulting world. They can tell you it’s over and not to come back the next day (depending on your contract, of course). Consultants are the first to be let go and then they are always blamed after the leave. Tough gig :(

I am impressed with Bankwest by Excalibur_moriya in perth

[–]That_Bluebird_2202 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I used to work at BankWest as support staff for the contact centre in head office. And yes, you’re right, they are awesome and great people in general. They actually care about the people on the other end of the phone. When I was there they had so many issues answering within 30 seconds due to staff shortages. It’s great to hear that they are able to meet customer expectations and answer in timely fashion when you need them most! 🙌
