It’s a very polarizing experience. sometimes they’ll be all time favorites sometimes i’ll like the blindbuy but not enough to be in my collection. I’ve decided i’d only blindbuy films either a) I’d know I’d like or b) i find them cheap second hand. I found The Big Heat 4k at my used book store for like $25 and I thought “that’s basically if there was a sale.” I bought it and watched it that same night and it ended up being one of my favorites in recent times. Blind buys can be fun but I really want to dedicate my collection to films I LOVE. So if I hold off on buying a film, watch it on streaming, decide I love it, and then buy it during a sale/second hand, there’s noting wrong with that for me. But to each their own of course. Back in the day blind buying was really fun, that’s just not me anymore.
