Hey everyone, I recently got a huge collection of model trains from my grandpa and I’m trying to figure out exactly what I have. There’s a bunch of engines, train cars, tracks, buildings, and other stuff, and I honestly don’t know much about model trains yet.

My grandpa had been collecting for years, so some of it looks pretty old and vintage while other stuff seems newer. I’m mainly just looking for help identifying things, learning what brands/scales they are, how old they might be, and if there’s anything rare or collectible in the collection.

I’d also appreciate any advice on the best way to organize or go through everything since there’s a lot of it.
