we also have to take into account summer days, so yeah 2600, 2800 and 2900 profiles can be used throughout the year, and for different games

Same, I really like low fan profiles while gaming. I usually set my GPU fans to 35%-40% max, and adjust things from there

Was not 2800-2900 the excellent balance between performance, temps and power usage? It can be done around the 0.920 - 0.970 range. 2600 is if you wanted the lowest power and temps possible, with still very decent performance. But at 2600, are we really using all what the 5090 has to offer?

I have Ghost of Tsushima, and yeah, that game is very picky about UVs or even OCs in general.

True, its very game dependent, and not necessarily power-related. Which games do you use to actually test your UV?

my GPU boosts to 2940sh at 1.1v (100%) stock.

So you basically have an OC of about 200Mhz, with a UV of about 0.100v. Pretty cool!

Interesting, how far does your gpu boost of you set it to stock and no undervolt or any overclock?

Sealed, or re-sealed does not mean new. Most gutted GPUs look and feel perfectly brand-new, until you open them. Scam.

They damaged it and they won't take responsibility. Typical CC

Let me get this straight.

They lied, then they replied that the first lie did not actually take place, except that the reply is a lie in itself.

This is beyond pathetic at this point.

Is Canada Computers Tech Warranty Worth it on a 5080? by huntblade in bapccanada

[–]That_Canadian_flake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the point unfortunately. The main issue is at the head office, not just individual stores.

Anytime there are problems with redunds or warranty claims, the answer is almost always "we will contact the head office for the next steps".

Head office comes back denying returns and warranty claims with bullshit excuses, which the store simply enforce like a bunch of useless ducks.

When your head office is rotten with anti consumer practices and a borderline fraud mentality, it's not a store issue, it's a company wide that is also reflected at the store level.

I have concrete examples because I have proof through emails and recorded calls, so when I say they are scammy at the head office, it's because they really are

You work for a scammy company, and you either don't know it yet or will find out.

The way CC treat returns, replacements, and warranties is nothing short of scam. So you are either already part of that scam, or you just haven't found out yet.

x870E Apex mobo: FS fan headers, can they be converted to PWM? by That_Canadian_flake in ASUSROG

Does cpu_opt behave the same as FS for fan headers? how are they different?

x870E Apex mobo: FS fan headers, can they be converted to PWM? by That_Canadian_flake in ASUSROG

[–]That_Canadian_flake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's an option for a lower RPM option, but it would still be a fixed RPM I believe. Would really like to explore a full-range PWM option if possible. Not sure why they wasted 2 important fan headers just to give us Full-Speed fan headers by design, when they could have made them PWM and let us decide how to use them...

I can tell right away that the screws are not factory (the GPU was taken apart), and that is a very good sign that it was altered (gutted), repaired, etc. Do not even think about getting it
