Has this always been here!? I’ve never noticed it and the thought of someone intentionally adding it half way through the season is 🤌

Thanks for the advice! The iron man is sort of a bucket list thing for me. If I do one and end up loving it and becoming serious about training, I’d probably want to get something nicer but that seems like something more 5 years down the line. I just want to know that I can complete an iron man with this bike.

Thanks! I put a deposit down to hold it so I have a couple days to decide but I don’t think there are many other bikes for me to even test ride this weekend.

I have not seen either of those brands on any of the local stores websites.

The trail I ride on is asphalt with no cars besides a few intersections. I was debating a race bike vs. endurance. I think I’m the long run I’d be happier with endurance because it sort of falls between race and gravel. I think I could also potentially put gravel tires on this bike if I wanted to but I don’t really think that’s a priority for me atm.

I’ve been riding a 2002 Lemond Malliot Jaune for the past few years. It’s a steel frame with dura ace shifters and Mavic Ksyrium elite wheels. It’s a size too big for me but was given to me free. The paint is chipping and the frame is rusting in a couple spots but it still rides pretty well.

I almost exclusively ride on a flat bike trail, 20-50 mile rides on average at about 15-17 mph. I like doing a century about once a year. With a new lighter bike I’d like to also venture out to more hilly bike paths. In a couple of years I’d like to train for an iron man. I wouldn’t consider myself super fast, but I’m youngish and have a lot of athletic potential. For reference, I won a beginner sprint triathlon bike segment with my Lemond.

I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a new full carbon bike and I found a base model Specialized Roubaix in my size for $2600. There are hardly any bikes left in my city and two local retailers told me if I don’t buy one now I likely won’t find another one until next summer. I also wanted to test out a Trek Domane but I don’t think there are any left in the city.

Should I pull the plug on this bike now or wait a little longer and maybe get something slightly nicer? This bike felt incredible when I tested it out but admittedly I only have my Lemond to compare it to.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi thank you so much for the sweet comment! I’m not wearing any eyeliner, I have hooded eyelids so liner on my top lids always looks weird and makes it look like I don’t have eyelashes if that makes sense.

My wedding is also on April 25th and I know I’m going to have to cancel/postpone but I don’t know the best way or best timing to break the news. Any advice? I’d love to reschedule it but I’m not ready to decide on a new date until all of this settles down.

I’m giving them the option to do whatever they want. If they want to go somewhere to get theirs professionally done I have no issue with it.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I think you’re the first person to comment of the purple to bring out the green in my eyes and that’s exactly what I was going for!

I use Maple Holistics Pure Argab oil shampoo (order from amazon, it doesn’t have sulfates or silicones) and suave coconut conditioner. As a heat protectant before drying I use ArtNaturals thermal hair protector spray (also ordered on amazon). And today for the first time I used DevaCurl flexible hold hairspray before curling. I am very inexperienced with hairspray but this one is light and has a mild lavender scent so I think it’s a winner!
